So how often will you be updating? Just once a week? What about the other comic strips? They haven't been updated in ages.

No pressure of course.... ;o)

Well at the moment it's just once a week, yeah. And as Bob's Your Uncle is the main strip I'm working on the other strips will just update when I have a good idea for a comic that doesn't fit in with BYU... I'm thinking of a slight site re-structure to reflect that...

At Top Web Comics they only let you vote for one strip, not a site full of strips and so I figured I would do better by concentrating on one and getting all the votes for that. Am I making sense?

You made sense.

It would be very cool if you could have 'email this comic to a friend' feature.

I wonder if its easy to implement....

A very good idea!! It's not at all hard to implement and so I shall add it to my "to do" list. Thanks for the suggestion!

Mate, your comics are great (which would translate to "Dude, your comics kick ass" for our American friends, I think).

Colur comics are better than Black and white so a colour one or two a week would be fantastic

Mark draw what you feel is best because, if your happy and feel comfortable with what you are creating, it means we the readers will get your best artwork and storylines.

Keep up the great work and thanks for all your help.

Just as an experiment, what would Pyrates look like if you just colored the characters, but left the background b&w? Not that your backgrounds wouldn't be great in color (I liked that first panel of strip 2 with the Buckleswash), but it might be quicker than coloring the whole thing, and help distinguish characters from each other. I can almost picture the captain in purple, the mate in blues, and the cook in off-white with red accessories.

(No, I'm not Queer, whatever would make you think that?)

Thanks for the positive comments Loki! Interestingly enough I was considering trying having the characters in colour and the background not. I'll give it a go and see what it looks like. I could do it all in simple colours but no shading. I did a guest strip like that and I thought it looked pretty nice like that so I wouldn't mind trying it out on my own strips. I might try some experiments with colour when it comes to the 7th (ie "Sunday") strip. I like doing the detailed backgrounds but I'm thinking maybe the panels look a bit cluttered? Especially in just black and white. So I might try decorating a bit more sparsely... just a thought.
