Just a word to the wise... make sure you are bidding on the hobby box versions of the POA and not the retail ones. Just saw an auction for a retail box for $91.00 USD. I bet the winner will not be happy.

with all the confusion with these boxes at the moment dont be suprised if boxes sold has retail are hobby in all cases id say mail seller first. i am starting to think this is trading cards best kept secret.

that what happens when people sell the sell sheets the infomation doesnt get out to the right people.

some needs to invent promo cards that are given away and not sold.

I guess the main thing I would ask the seller is if it mentions the chance of pulling autos, costumes, ect. written at the top of the box.

the retail boxes do not say this on the cover (top) just check out the link to the above auction again....

i asked the seller, he said i have not pulled any special inserts from the two boxes i have opened. You know i think he doesn't realise they have no inserts. I think he is afraid to open the next box incase he gets nothing and it's all a waste. I would imaging he is selling to try and get a bit of cash back, but what do i know  Tongue

that is probably the case..at least he doesn't advertise that there are chances of pulling out rare cards (autos, props, ect.) in his description....that would really get the soon-to-be buyer pissed when he gets it and finds out otherwise!!

thank you for the welcome... i have been on the topps LOTR board for some time.

The seller of the auction i mentioned does nothing wrong... he lists it correctly as an PoA box. Only uninformed fleabayers will sadly buy these boxes at those prices.

Make sure you check the picture of the box you are buying.... the hobby versions state auto's, prop, and costume cards on the front of the box...the retail just says cards and nothing else.

I made that mistake big time I ordered 20 boxes when I found HPWizardStore.com  had boxes listed for $59.99 USD.  THis was last Wednesday.  I called to confirm that he would ship in cases with toppers and he told me they were retail.  He had them discribed as containing randomly inserted chase cards (prop auto cost.)  I think he is going to let me cancel my order I should no for sure Monday.

I thought I had hit the jackpot you can imagine how disappointed I was after I found they were discribed wrong.

funny i ordered from the same guy... he let me cancel the order.

I thought in the description it did mention the chase and autos (and such) but when i went back a day or two later i thought the description changed.... adding this is retail not hobby.
