OOh yes - that moment where he puts his rather weird looking nails over the plantir... you know what - I think FOTR Ext Ed is still my favourite... The TT was much improved in the Ext ed and I love that one - even though PJ said we would all like ROTK best of all I don't yet - I still love FOTR Ext Ed  |

I can't wait... hope it has the houses of the healing - I want to see Faramir and Eowyn's romance... such a hopeless romantic  And i want the scene which we see in the National geographic with Legolas and Gimli's drinking game. Theres so much I want to see actually ROTK ext. has alot to live up to! FOTR ext is brill - I've been watching the extended version everytime since i got it. Then my flatmate rents out FOTR from the movie store (when he could have just borrowed my ext edition ) and I sat and watched it with him, but kept going 'where's the *insert scene* ?' Finally left in disgust and watched the extended version in my room. Watching the theatrical release makes you appreciate the extended versions so much more. |

Hi FTY: So true about the Extended versions!! I don't even bother to watch my regular versions except the ROTK and that will be only until the Extended version comes out!! I too am looking for many of the scenes you mention. I have seen still photos of Eomer grieving over Theoden's fallen body so I am looking for that one. I have also seen a bit of film where Aragorn kills Gothmog while leading the Army of the Dead in their rescue of Minas Tirith. I hope that gets included. |

I think I know the scene you are talking about Ed, but isn't Eomer grieving over Eowyn? Like in the book when she (and everyone else) thinks she is dead? And any more Aragorn they give us is good |

oooh it's in the trailer right? Our ROTK DVD is at Mark's place (with the trailers on it) and we are here  can anyone check - maybe it doesn't show too clearly who he's grieving over |

Hello all: I just looked at Disk 2 from the ROTK and viewed both Trailers. The scene with Eomer grieving seems to be with Eowyn - you cannot see her face just the blond hair but Theoden has blond hair as well. I am making the call for Eowyn based on the shape of the head that you can see. I also noticed a scene where Merry offers his service to Theoden, the Drinking Game between Legolas & Gimli, and Gandalf confronting the Witch King at Minas Tirith. It looks like all of these will be in the Extended version along with the Gandalf/Saruman confrontation at Isengard and the Mouth of Sauron taunting Aragorn! If you have not looked at it yet, the special National Geographic feature on Disk 2 is outstanding. I wish I knew it was going to be included with the ROTK as I had purchased it seperately in January!! |

Yeah we bought the Nat Geo disc too but Mark, me and Ben all watched it so the cost per person was quite cheap (strangely it only came out of my bank account though  ) But there will also be the WitchKing vs Gandalf thingummy - where Gandy's nice staff gets broken!!! Won't there? |
