It looks to me like bits of star

I am actually not so sure it is a bit of star.  Mine is very similar (just a the yellow and red the other way round).  The points of the star look, well, very pointy Smiley.  I think Anna's could actually be a bit of the Weasley, where it goes round in a semi circle.  You are right about the stitching, in 'real life' it is very clear.  And also the yellow looks almost like plastic or vinyl.

As you can see I am very happy with my George and have spent many hours looking at it.  The long winter nights just fly by* Grin Grin Grin

Someone asked if anyone has seen cards like this in the update.  I did see a Cedric one with brown (instead of Yellow) and then the two dual costume variants, one I have and the other one that sold shortly after.  But those have part of the patch on them.

Yeah, I've seen all of those minus the brown Cedric Diggory. I was just wondering if there were Yellowish variants for the George Weasley Retail Card.

It's interesting that these quidditch cards have the emblem as opposed to the original George Weasley card.

So far, no one has seen a Harry Quidditch variant with a yellow in the swatch.

But they could be at home, in people's collections who don't care to show them off to us.

I think the swatch comes from his cloak, not the shin guards (or whatever you want to call them).  The colors in the swatch curve as if it's part of a number or letter.

I agree with kbmum.  I think that this is definitely a part of a number or name.  I do not think it is part of the shin guards, although, actually, from being a soccer/futball fan, I think they actually wear socks over the shin guards, which is what those yellow and brown stripes at his ankles are from, I think.

Besides, the black and gold on the swatch curve, but the stripes on the shin guards have straight lines.

The full yellow swatches are very rare. Very rare! I can't be sure whether this is the second I have seen or whether this is the same one being sold again, but it's definitely rare!

There was one all-yellow swatch sometime last spring or summer, on a dealer website.  I can't remember who had it or the price (other than it was expensive), and it's long gone now.

I really would like one of these, but I am happy with my dual variant for now.  Maybe someday.....or if we ever start to see these on one of Harry's Quidditch robes.....

I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't any Harry Quidditch robe variants.  It sounds like one of the stupid contract issues we saw with permission slips not having writing on them.
