Gosh darnit, who let on this place existed??

Wink

Welcome welcome and you are just in time to help us enthuse (and wax lyrical ad infinitum about the Quotable TNG set).

It was looking a great set as it was with some top signers and some awesome costumes and THEN they added Warren Martineck (and others) sketch cards .... they have me in their evil trap now  Roll Eyes

Have you had your cases already? I'm in the UK so it will be a while for me  Roll Eyes but the UK shipment has arrived at CI I believe and is being sent out today - so it's not far off for most folk now (which is a good thing as I think Gimli's going to go out of his mind with excitement if they don't come soon!!!).

It will be my first TNG set so although some folk may be complaining about repeat things etc etc, it's all fresh to me  Grin

Well, for Gimlie's sake I won't go into details YET, but suffice it to say, I sat back from the table and let out a satisfied burp ( which is a compliment to the chef) and considered myself happy.
Well, sort of happy. I sold all my binders accidently and didn't leave one for me, so a hasty order to RA this AM will fix that problem soon I hope...!!! My poor homeless cards....

Welcome to the Shack stcardgeek! Grin

I myself don't collect Star Trek cards (well I do have some base sets), but I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here.  kbmum has got me looking at the Quotable TNG cards that are currently listed on ebay and I can honestly say I am tempted to pick up a few cards. Smiley  I am trying to restrain myself though because of all the Harry Potter cards still to come out this year (my true passion). Grin

I absolutely adored TOSQ. I'll still buy boxes to break even though I don't need anything. Quotes was a big thing for TOS.
TNGQ would run a good second for quotes, so this set was fun...SMALL..but once I got out my magnifying glass....good...

Small? As in too many autos on one card? Or the typing is small on the cards?

Did you decide to collect just the 2 colour costumes where possible or are you collecting one of each colour and the dual colour? Shocked (you never know, I don't know how big a fan you are!)

Ooh Americans are so mean not giving us all the details and gossip Tongue

Font size on the quotes is too tiny..for me anyway Wink
As crazy as it sounds since I'm like the WORST card geek out there, I start off with all black...then substitute for colors/duals if I find them cheap. I only chase after variants I'm intrigued with, otherwise I stick to one card type (as in 1 C1, 11 C2 and so on)

Roz showed me how to pretty up my profile! I had to laugh though as i was changing the text that said *I'm a llama*, the song I was listening to was saying "If I had a million dollars I'd buy an exotice pet like a llama or an emu" Smiley
