Thanks to all who sent birthday wishes. It was I think my most memorable birthday ever! I was informed this morning that I have been promoted to full Colonel in the Marine Corps. We have been having serious thunderstorms all day and a bolt of lightning struck a telephone pole down the road from my house and exploded a transformer knocking out power for most of the day. My wife works out of state 3 days a week Tuesday - Thursday but she surprised me by coming home tonight to help celebrate my birthday and she brought a cake!!  Finally to cap the day off I received one of the best birthday presents in my life from Mark & Roz!! I will send you both a PM tomorrow as the lights have been flickering again meaning we will probably loose power again! Thank you all for your thoughts! |

Gee Jo, the thought never entered our minds to take any pictures!  We were in the dark due to losing power from a thunderstorm so if we had taken photos they would have looked errie! Thanks for the congrats on making Colonel! |
