Wow I was blown away with the start of coverage of E3. Dish TV is broadcasting the show on the G4 Channel for 2 hours live every night this week. The new PS3 is awsome and all of the hosts were most impressed. The games graphics are out of this world. They showed a new boxing game that shows the boxers faces when they are hit in the face and it looks just like the real thing when the punch lands. The talk was this system is going to cost around $500 but that is a guess for now.
The X Box 360 on the other hand was looked at with a wait and see attitude. Microsoft's VP for this system did not do a very good PR job describing the new system nor did they have much in the way of game graphics to show. He said they would have some killer games available when the system is ready. I did like the wireless game controllers.
Nintendo had the poorest opening for their new system not having any graphics or games to show other than what the game box looks like! They did say it is going to be backwards compatable with every game out there so that is great news for you Nintendo fans.

All I will say at this stage is this: Nintendo - Gameboy Micro, so so cool, can't wait to get hold of one. Revolution box is also very cool if that's the final design. Sony - PS3, the shiny black one looks superb but those screenshots were all done on much higher powered technology. One good thing about the controller though, at least it will come straight back when you chuck it across the room in frustration Microsoft - 360 design is dreadful, dull and unimaginative. Live elements sound OK but how many Project Gothams do we need? I'll reserve judgment until I see them in action - these things NEVER live up to the hype or the promise. It will take developers a good couple of years to get anywhere near the performance they claim from those test shots.

I hear you Geek Boy. Some of those First Person Shooters they showed on last night's program looked awsome especially the one with the troops coming down in those hovercraft landing vehicles making an assult landing. Outstanding graphics and combat action. This one was shown on the PS3. I did not catch the games name as I was so engrossed in the action. Yea Mike you are not the only one watching G4!! I also watch the live show at 7:00 P.M. showing E3 coverage. Wish I was there in person!

Yeah the gameboy micro looked great, but I am not sure yet whether I am prepared to buy the same technology for the 3rd time!
Did anyone say Zelda?
Someone had better come and pick me up off the floor quick!

Zelda looks amazing! They are going to shift a lot of hardware just for that game, just like they did with the N64 and Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.
The micro... I don't think I'll bother, unless it's super cheap and the screen is that much better than before. Also it doens't seem to be backwards compatible with GB and GBC games - that must have been one of the sacrifices to make it so small. I'll decide once I've seen it in the flesh, but I won't be queuing first thing in the morning, that's for sure!
Revolution... the box looks nice, and he says it's going to be even smaller than the one they had there, so that can't be a bad thing! No graphics yet but hey I'm not bothered by that. We can wait to see that. I'm excited about the features - wifi gaming out of the box, downloadable content from over 20 years of gaming history... but they'd better include that DVD adaptor in the package because having to shell out extra just for that would be ridiculous, when all the other machines will come with that as standard.

Did anyone see the sneak peek of the new game coming out for Stargate SG1 called, Stargate Alliance, and if so what did you think? If you watch Stargate does it live up to the series on looks and entertainment.
I heard they had a sneak peak with a trailor of the game at E3 and RDA was their to talk about it. I want to get this game when it comes out but I would love to have someones opinion on the trailor if they saw it.

Oh yeah although I don't think I'll be getting one becuase there's so many other things to spend money on at the moment, this is a nice bit of kit - just gaze at these gorgeously retro (Japanese colour scheme) NES one: Has anyone got or tried one of these? Are they large enough for adult hands to use comfortably?

In Japan about $140 - no idea about America.. it only plays GBA games, no GBC or GB and of course no DS games, but it's the same price as a DS! It's a nice bit of kit, but let's be honest a DS for the same price makes a lot more sense So purdy though
