In case anyone hadn't heard, the big rumor a few weeks ago was that Dumbledore will be killed.  Bloomsbury and Scholastic said there was no truth to the rumor and JKR got a court injuction barring anyone from revealing info from the book.

The spoiler is that the Dark Mark is appearing over Hogwarts Castle, the one place that's supposed to be safe from Voldemort.  Ron, Hermione and many other students (one might be Ginny) are staring up at it.  The Death Eaters send the mark into the sky when they've killed people.  You can draw your own conclusions why it's appearing over Hogwarts.

Then again, maybe Mary GrandPre is just taking artistic license with her design.

The only thing that had struck me as odd was that Harry was not in the picture.  Either that or he had finally got contact lenses.  I was sort of leaning towards the latter in the hope that the next book was called Harry Potter and the Bi-focal Daily's

he's probably fightinh/being protected by double which is shown on the front cover, dumbledore may die, harry gets angry and next books chops voldemorts head of with a sharpened wand

I didnt even notice the other people standing behind Ron, Hermione and Ginny! It does to me look like a clue, that the dark mark was produced at hogwarts.....hmmm so someone could have been killed there, or there could have been a battle there or something...who knows but I think that Hogwarts is definately going to be a feature for evil in this book by the looks of it!

About how kids are really excited about the next book, and it asked what they hope to see in this book.  One boy, said he would like to know where Wormtail was the whole 5th book, and when he will pay the debt he owes to Harry from the 3rd book.  Can someone please tell me what debt Wormtail owes Harry?

Wormtails debt to Harry is that he saved him from being captured by the Dementors in Sirius's place.

Becuase, by Harry saying that they would take him to the Dementors he was able to escape and not eb killed durring Lupins transfirmation. See!

Actually...

Wormtail owes Harry because Harry stopped Sirius and Remus from killing Peter in the Shrieking Shack. 

I think you're confusing it with this part -- Harry wanted to take Peter back to Hogwarts and let the Dementors take him to Azkaban, not kill him.  But, Peter was able to escape when Remus transformed into a werewolf -- Sirius was trying to prevent the werewolf from harming the kids and Snape was still unconscious (as opposed to how the scene played out in the movie).

There isn't much excuse as there's been the film now, so they should have at least seen the film.
