I was worried that it would mean Harry would have to die. But I think the horcruxs have to be sorted before LV can be killed. I hope she doesn't kill Harry. We should all sign a packed not to nag for more stories as long as Harry gets to live

Oh Mike, don't get me wrong, I want him to live!!! But then I would also want to know what becomes of him. Although, if he dies, don't think I won't want to know what becomes of Ron and hermione Also, don't all the horcruxes have to be destroyed before LV can be killed? If Harry is a horcrux, then he would have to die before LV. So who would kill LV?

Ok this is an old quote but, it gives a little hope Rowling says she has the series all plotted out and intends to stop in 2003 with book seven, when Harry will be 18 and ready to graduate from Hogwarts. During the press club's question-and-answer session, Rowling received numerous queries about Harry's future, but she declined to answer. "I do know exactly what will happen, and I can't tell you about it," she told her eager audience. "At the moment, I definitely think I'll stop at No. 7.... It's going to feel like a bereavement. I think I'll be really heartbroken. "The only reason I would write a book No. 8 is if I have a burning desire to do it, 10 years after the last book is published," Rowling added. "But I never say 'never,' because the moment I say I'll never do something, I do it the next month." MacPherson, Karen. "'Harry Potter' goes to Washington," Post-Gazette National Bureau (Pittsburgh), October 21, 1999 Surely a book 8 would be hard if Harry were dead. But then there were some people who thought he would die in 6, personnally I'm not sure how interesting a book about a dead person would be

I really like JK's Harry Potter Dictionary or whatever it was idea but I think after Voldemort dies the Magical world will be at piece. I hope JK fast a little foward maybe to Harry's 19th birthday to tell us wether he marrys Ginny or the person he fancys in book 7 but if he dies it would bug me till I die what happens to Voldemort, Hogwarts, The Wesleys, Hermione, everybody. Do they die to? Do they go on living in fear, in hiding? I'd rather it end with a good ending. No fairy tale wedding or something like that rubbish but with good defeating evil once and for all. I think Book 7 will be as thick as 5 because I'm sure she'll explain about his future in some way. On her biograpghy I saw last month she already has the last chapter written and she said "All I'm going to show you is the notebook its in because this explains what happens to everybody after it all" so I think that will be a very long chapter, it was a very big notebook so that will be a dozy, and mostlikely the tear jerker of the series. I cant really see 8 books because there is only 7 years at Hogwarts and what would number eight be Harry Potter and the Never Ending Series I'll be heartbroken after it all to but I'm sure she'll have even better series in the future and we've always got the movie

Don't forget the diary and the ring survived the removal of the Horcrux, admittedly a little worse for wear, but maybe Harry could do the same. I still truly hope he is not a Horcrux though; the holders for these have been truly evil - a cursed ring and a murderous diary - the thought of Harry having something so evil in him doesn't seem right

Thats true they did survive just. But who said the ring and the diary where evil, surely it was just the soul inside them which was. I think its lucky Harry is a dencent lad or she could have got down the whole evil road;)

and lets not forget that when LV tried to kill Harry, he transformed some of his "ailities" to him, like speaking Parseltongue. So technically, if you look at it that way, Harry does have some evil in him. It is LV's evil, but still evil.

But what if that made Harry a Horcrux, I mean, he did just kill his parents. Maybe thats why his scar was always hurting. Maybe Voldemort was trying to find that other piece of his soul.

I know all that is true but the thought of Harry being a Horcrux bugs me beyond belief And the worst thing is that I have no idea why I just read that bit about Snape from the link on the previous page. Very insightful I do sometimes wonder though if JKR actually knew of the hidden meanings of some of the stuff she writes or if they are just a happy coincidence

Unless Snape or Draco dies in the 7th book then I really dont care for them I've never liked them and it was only a matter of time before they both joined Voldemort and revielled they were evil.

I think someone is going to have to start a poll on who thinks Snape is a goody or a baddie . There is a chance, I think, that if anything happens to Draco, Snape could die as well. After all, who knows how long an unbreakable vow lasts. The DD bit has been completed but Snape promised to look after Draco as well - is that forever

Very insightful I do sometimes wonder though if JKR actually knew of the hidden meanings of some of the stuff she writes or if they are just a happy coincidence Honestly, I think is is all coincidence. I just think there are too many people out there that have to read in to it all way too much. Unless Snape or Draco dies in the 7th book then I really dont care for them I've never liked them and it was only a matter of time before they both joined Voldemort and revielled they were evil. I never liked Draco, but always liked Snape. Always liked how you always thought he was evil in every book and he turned out to be good. I thought having a character like that was great. I was dissapointed when he really did turn out bad in this one.

I was dissapointed when he really did turn out bad in this one. But he is not bad - just misunderstood I think we should forget about which GOF champion we support and go straight for the kill and pick Harry, Voldemort or Snape Hooray for Severus

I am a huge fan of Snape. Always have been and always will. Even if he truly is evil.

Ok that is two of us. Only another 432 people to convince I am a bit unsure if you are a true support though - the Even if he truly is evil. might make me a bit suspicious

I strongly believe, or want to believe that he is doing all this under DD's orders and that he is good. I know Harry and a lot of other people do not feel that way. But if JK throws me a curve ball and makes him evil, which then makes all those years Harry thought he was evil true, I will still support him as a character. Don't worry, he is one of my favorites. I plan on buying his wand at Noble Collection.

Didn't I already do that? Yes but that was straight after the first reading. I think the knee jerk reaction will be different from the carefully considered decision that Alan oops Severus is a good guy
