I have to go with Emma Thompson ( I still think she is pretty hot for an older lady).  Sorry the hot factors still ways in for me, I know what a guy thing to factor in.

I still like Hagrid and the gently giant thing, too.

True - Emma Tompson ROCKS - I saw her in Jane Austen's Emma and also in Love Actually - are there any gems I have mised out on??

But I don't think the glasses/goggles do much for her  Tongue

No, I wouldn't say that she is all that 'hot' in her latest movie Wink

For me it just has to be Snape. Alan Rickman is just wonderful at playing the bad guy. The way he swept into the classroom in the first film was great.

I'm sorry, it's all Samwise16's fault but whenever anyone mentions Snape now, all I can think about is this!!

I think samwise mentioned Jennifer Saunders as an idea, I had no idea who she was until I saw Shrek 2. But she was so exquisitely evil in that with her voice alone that I think she would make a good Umbridge!

Good point!
I wouldn't be at all surprised at her playing such an unpopular character as she's so good (and wouldn't care considering how much money she'd get and the prestige from appearing in the films) and also her comedy partner Dawn French is already playing the Fat Lady .... AND Dawn's hubby Lenny Henry did the voice for the shrunken head in the Knight Bus!!  Tongue
I went to see Shrek2 too and it was uncanny how like her they'd got the character wasn't it?

I wasn't too sure about Emma Thompson as Trelawny though ... she's a superb actress but not quite how I envisaged her and yes ~ supremely cutting when she was talking to Hermioninny!!  Wink

I'm wondering which other English actors/actresses they'll dust-off to appear in the films ... anyone have any ideas on who else?  Smiley
Someone to play Rita Skeeter ~ any suggestions?
