OK, time for a poll. After finally finshing the HBP today. I have a few questions etc.... Who thinks that Dumbledore is really dead? I think that Jk Rowling is a good author, but I still dont see how she can redeem herself from killing DD? After studying the ending in my head, I cannot think who R.A.B is, and how DD could of survived. Or, if Snape was told by DD to kill him, to help him get closer ot LV...... Post your thoughts away. Chris

Chris, JK revealed who R.A.B. is in an interview conducted by The Leaky Cauldron and Mugglenet. If you want to know, you can read the interview on either site, or post here and we'll tell you.

Oooooooooooooh I can't believe you aren't glued to the interview! It's packed full of controversy (as they giggled at fans who thought Harry and Hermione might get together etc etc), and it tells us that ****************** SPOILER ABOUT R.A.B******** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * RAB is Regulus Black! Yes THAT Black family - Sirius had mentioned Regulus as being a Voldie follower, so we really don't know what must have happened there, but perhaps the "Black" family wasn't as all bad as we had thought (apart from Sirius who was always the white sheep of the family )

The question is - do they magically appear upon death or do the House Elves put it up when they believe a headmaster to be dead?
*sorry about spelling it Elves but don't blame me - blame Tolkien!*

I keep going back and forth on the "Did he or didn't he die?" thing. One thing I think I know for sure though- If JKR really did kill him off, she won't bring him back to life. It just doesn't seem like her style.

I am convinced that Dumbledore is dead (and will stay dead). The lament of Fawkes was the clincher... For me, the real question is "Did Dumbledore intend for Snape to kill him?" (thus the whole good Snape/bad Snape dilema...)

Dumbledore told Harry in the first book that, for the well prepared mind, death is but the next adventure.
1. The Pictures of the Headmasters can communicate easily enough AND move about the world to other pictures of the smae person. Phineas Black went to 12 Gruimmauld Place to see what was nicked, remember? DD photo in the choclate frogs didn't hang around forever.
2. I fully believe that if Dumbldore is dead, we would have so prepared for this. The mention of his wand not being present at his funeral and other evidence such as the nature of his reaction to the Avada Kedavra spell [All other accounts say victims crumple immed. DD flew back] could mean he is still alive, but seriously injured. I would rather see him dead and see what preparations he made for himself, besides he could probably be more help as Voldie couldn't stop him if he was already dead.
