So guys- own up - who has a gmail account?

As you may know the popular search engine - google - has finally launched it's own free email service, but yes this one is different... with hotmail you get 1 meg of space to keep all your mail and junk in - which is what I have previously used but people keep on sending me images to upload and that sends my account over the limit!

Thisi is not a problem with G mail - you have a whole gigabyte of webspace...!!! How useful is that?

So far I only know that Mark and I have signed up but in a week we can refer friends to have a g- mail account (this is basically a test phase and it works fine - soon it will be available to the general public) but let us know if you are going to want one. I am not sure how many people we can refer though.

Anyone got this? Like this? Hate this?

Never heard of it, but it sounds like a great idea... I've had to open 3 hotmail accounts as I receive too much mail most of which I can't delete (personal emails from friends etc). My current email accout is at 47% so am ok atm though

I know what you mean FTY - there are loads of emails that Mark and I have - from Savage727, fron old school friends etc we just can't delete -

The most annoying thing is to keep having to change email addresses and let your contacts know, then redivert all mail eg university, bank, ebay, paypal... and the list goes on Then you have people who don't read your email and keep sending to your old email addresses which you obviously can't receive
