First up - here's a link:

www.theyakshack.co.uk/tradingcards

If you need to get to the price guide at any time whilst you are on the Yak Shack look to the top left of your screen, beneath the search box you can see a green button like this:

You can get to the interactive price guide at any time using this button.

What is the price guide?

Well first and foremost the price guide is a list of all the cards available in the  Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, LOST, Batman Begins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sets, and many other sets of cards.

To see the list first go to the price guide, then you will come to this page:

To the left hand side (circled in this case) you can see the option "view sets", click on this, and you will be taken to the following screen:

At this screen all the different card sets covered by the price guide are on display, scroll up or down to the set you wish to select and click on the "view" icon:

The next screen will show you all the cards available in that set;

click on the card you are interested in.

On top of being a standard list of available cards we have added the ability to enter ended eBay auction information . The price guide uses this information to calculate an "average" (mean) price for that card. Since the value of cards can change over time it also shows you the average prices paid for the last 5 cards sold. It also shows you the highest price recorded, and the lowest price recorded.

Lastly the price guide displays a graph showing the monthly price for that card over the last 12 months, this might help you decide whether now is a good time to buy that card Smiley

An example of this information is shown below:

(Please note that this is an image taken from the price guide on 20th December 2005, you will need to go here to see the most up to date information for a PoAU Lupin Jacket).

The price guide is the brain child of MakTheYak and myself but the excellent data support is the result of the hard work of many Yak Shack members, if you have anything disparaging to say - phrase it politely or you might get an equally rude comment back  ROFL!

We believe that this is the only non-sports trading card price guide of it's type on the internet, and we are very enthusiastic about it, Mark (MakTheYak) and I would like to take this chance to thanks every single person who has ever entered an auction. Even just one. You have made the price guide what it is, and we are very grateful for your continuing enthusiasm and support.

Many of your questions can be answered in the FAQ section of the price guide:

But if you have any other questions, add to a thread or create another in this section of the Yak Shack forums.
