This was the first actor I met from LOTR but wow.. he is really a fantastic guy. I got there a little late and had to wait for the next auto session and he let me go up early since i drove from chicago just to see him. Then he stood there and talked to me for a good 10-15 mins about things, and I brought up the Topps auto cards and he remembered signing all of them and I told him about the board and he said he may check it out and I really hope he does

He was a really nice guy and it was alot of fun, he took his time with EVERYONE that went there to see him. I am glad I went it was a really good time!

Did anyone else go and meet him? I will post pics of him and what I had signed in a little while.

Hope he comes around soemwhere close soon as it was a real blast speakin with him, was excited all weekend

Sean Astin is one of my favorite persons from LOTR that I've met.  He was so down to earth and curtious...talked quite a bit with me and got a great picture with him and an awesome autograph    I wish I could have made it to Ohio to meet him again since it's only a 3 hour drive. I wanted to get the picture of us together signed, but it so happened that I was out of town  

By the way, how many people were there to get his autograph? Hope it wasn't too crowded.

I've had a crush on Sean Astin since i was 14. He was in this kids tv-movie called The BRAT Patrol (sooo long ago) but even then seemed like a wonderful human being.

I no longer have pictures of him on my wall (I think my husband may object) but manage to have a LOTR poster in my office and Sam always makes me smile. I'm glad he is experiencing success with his career and i'm sure his political aspirations will lead to something. I'm glad (totally jealous but glad) you guys got to meet him and felt that he was pretty special.

Thanks for posting the great shots of you and Sean!  Looks like that is a day you will always remember!  

How do you find out about these LOTR's Autograph sessions?  I live in New Hampshire and would have thought something like this would have happened in Boston which is close enough for me to get to but I have not seen nor heard about them.  We are having the only showing in the United States of the Lord of the Rings Exhibition starting in August at the Museum of Science in Boston though.  I have tickets for that and can't wait!

ya cool photo and well done for meeting him.he seems really nice though .thankfully most if not all of the LOTR stars havent gone mad on there fame and forgotten the fans like some other movie and film stars
