Here is what I've been doing in my free time this past week or so....
My Sith Pony-Darth Maul
I didn't know it until recently, but customising My Little Ponys is a big past time for a lot of people.  I like it!  Most customs seem to be girly foo-foo things, but I like the idea of taking something cute and pastel and turning it into something BAD!  Or at least unexpected.  Wink  As soon as I get my re-hairing tool in the mail I'm going to start on a Dumbledore pony, then a Zoe from Firefly.

I love it! ROFL!  Are you going to put it on eBay?  I had no idea that people customized My Little Ponies until you did it.

No, I'm keeping him.  Smiley  I had no idea about customising them either until my daughters teacher told me about it.  I'm going to do a couple more for myself, just to get some practice in, then I may sell them on ebay or my website.
Click on this link and check out the Borg pony "6 of 7".  AMAZING!  Also see "Baby Harry" down near the bottom of the page.

That is cool Kelly I have a huge My Little Pony Collection Tongue  JK ROFL!

It has kind of cooled down as there are so many people doing it, but doing custom McFarlane Sports figures was pretty big over the last couple of years.  Basically they take one of the figures say NHL hockey goalie for instance and here is an example of one on ebay, I thought about trying to do some but realized I don't have them time.

You seem like the closet pony collector type, Dave!  Kidding!  ROFL!
I checked out the golie link you posted and honestly my first thought was:  His printing skills suck, and I can draw a better eagle.  But $75?  Maybe I should take this up!
Then I went on ebay and found this:

Um...wow.  I think I'll just stick to ponies.  These guys seem to have the McFarland thing covered.  Wink

LOVE that Sith Pony.  I'm a huge MLP fan and I still collect them from time to time (much to the annoyance of grantgoboom).  Smiley
I did my first custom awhile back too.

Oh dear I got quite addicted looking at those ponies, and dare I admit it I quite missed the little fellows I had when I was little
Alot of them seemed to have been 'rescued' Ponies was yours an old battered one Kelly or just one in need of some paint work. I know the first pony I had was Butterscotch and I believe she'svery collectable these days so people would die if I painted her, don't know where they all went to anyway, I think they left home, shame could sell them on ebay now they are all the rage age. *Note to self if ever have kids keep their toys until they come around again in 20 years Wink Roll Eyes *

I used one of my daughters beat up pony's and dyed him black.  He was purple to start out.  I usually wouldn't take my kids toys, but her birthday was coming up and I had bought her some new ones!  Wink
