Has anyone hear listened to "Wizard People, Dear Friends" by Brad Neely? To quote an entry about it: ""Wizard People, Dear Reader" is essentially a narrative reworking the lives of the characters of The Sorcerer's Stone and the world in which they live. Mr. Neely's unique use of appropriated plot, characters and themes interlaced with his own brand of subversive humor have been called a "new art form" in an article by the New York Times. It is best described as the infusion of dissident subtext into a pop-culture phenomenon creating a suspension of art and reality." I don't know about that, but it is certainly very, very funny! It is a set of two audio tracks that are supposed to be played while watching "Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone" (Philosopher's Stone for our British friends Wink ) on mute, as a commentary over it. There is some strong language in it at part (to very funny effect), so I wouldn't listen to it while watching the movie with, say, a kid, but with age appropriate folk, it works. I'd like to know what other think of this (if only 'cause I want to know that I'm not the only one who thinks this is hilarious  Grin ). Here's a link to the two parts:

Wiz1 http://www.archive.org/download/wizard-people/wiz1.mp3
Wiz2 http://www.archive.org/download/wizard-people/wiz2.mp3

Here's a copy of the instructions (which assumes that you will burn the mp3 files to CD, though it is just as simple to play it from your computer while watching the film on mute):

"Once you have downloaded both Wizard People discs, convert each mp3 into an audio CD. Label the CDs discs 1 and 2. Get a copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (aka Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in Europe), preferably on DVD. Insert Wizard People disc 1 into a CD player. Push PLAY then PAUSE so that disc 1 will have no delays when the PLAY button is pushed again. Make sure that the counter reads all zeros.

For DVD (preferable) - After the main menu on the DVD appears, click PLAY on DVD AND CD simultaneously. The audio is told in chapters that correspond exactly to the scenes of the DVD. If you need to stop the DVD, you can queue it back up by pressing play at the point where the Wizard People narrator begans to speak that chapter number. For disc two, start the DVD paused on the beginning of Chapter 19 (19 1:13:44 on the DVD counter).

For VHS (if DVD isn't an option) - After the FBI warning and commercials, you'll see the golden image of the Warner Bros. Studios that ripples and becomes the Warner Bros. logo in the clouds. Rewind and pause at the first second you see the image of the Golden studios before they ripple. Then hit play on both devices."
