For the average joe out there, this may be funny, in a laugh at the geeks kind of way, I suppose. But if there is anyone here who was ever or is a true Marvel comics fan, and knows the story of 'Secret Wars' (a "big", or so it goes, comic event back in the 80's), then this will be hilarious!

Muahahahahahahah ROFL!

I don't know Secret Wars but I have been reading marvel, not the recent ones, the book re-prints of the early ones. I imported some from America but can't get any more at the mo, no one seems to have them, I've tried ebay too... it sucks Sad

Which of the trade paper backs (or TPB's) are you looking for? There's always a way to find them. If I might suggest one, try Squadron Supreme, a very underheralded but excellent mini-series from the early 80's Marvel that's available as a TPB.

Don't forget this clasic superhero milk comercial

Or 'The Marvel World'

I've been reading Spiderman in the Barnes and Noble (grey bordered) paperback (well one volume in Hardback) "Marvel Masterworks" set.

So far I have 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 (obviously I haven't read 6 because I need 5 Tongue)

Any suggestions?

Yep. Here's Vol. 5 for $9 (though shipping is more then the actual book :p).

Everything else I can find for Vol. 5 thus far is like 35 bucks and up.

Part of the problem is that it says Vol 5 but it also says comics 11-20, which is volume 2, not volume 5 Sad

Thanks Casey, I'll double check that when I'm home tonight, I think there's 10 comics in each book so in theory that would make it comics 41-50 but as I say, I'll check to be sure before I ask you to go hunting Smiley

No prob, just let me know, and I'll do some snooping around in my comic haunts, see what I can come up with.
