Yes, considering the rumoured base price for the PS3 is £425 then £799 is "cor blimey"! Right ruddy rip-off IMHO...
As for 360, it's the only machine I'm playing a lot of at the moment. Gears Of War looked superb and I downloaded the E3 demo of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition which is also great fun to play (bit like Starship Troopers - giant bugs vs solo soldier with machine guns and rocket launchers). Battlefield 2 is my current weapon of choice

I don't know what the game is with Sony. I saw the controller demo on Youtube and I laughed my socks off - the guy was flailing all over the place. I think they've just ripped the idea from Nintendo although the technology is different. I also read that the 20GB PS3 won't even go on sale in the UK and seeing as it lacks Wi-Fi, router status and HDMI output I can't see the point of that version anyway. I guess the thinking is that so few people have HD tellies that some gamers won't care for the graphical acoutrements. But forcing the super expensive bells and whistles version is hugely unfair particularly if you don't have the extra hardware to take advantage of the additional horsepower.
And besides what can PS3 realistically offer other than better looking versions of existing games? You can level the same argument at the 360 of course but some franchises on that system are still fairly young. How many versions of Final Fantasy, Ridge Racer, MGS and Gran Turismo have we had already? What can the PS3 versions offer over their predecessors?
