Possibly the best movie ever? Well maybe not (and I know I'll get garotted if I imply it's better than LOTR around here!) but I thought it was pretty damn cool. Has everyone seen it? Can I post stuff about it? I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but I thought it was a lot better than the first and I loved the first (apart from that lame Green Goblin mask).

Yea that whole train scene was cool.  I especially liked when the passengers saw who Spiderman was and how they reacted to him even to the point of trying to protect him from Doc Oc!   Smiley

I hope they do Iron Man & Captain America, two other favorites of mine.

Come to think of it you are right - that scene would have ROCKED in a comic book!

Hmmm - maybe you could have a similar scene in the Pirates toon Mark Wink

good news for you!iron man is in the scripting stage (tom cruise and nic cage have previously been mentioned but have dropped off), they are tryingto figure out how to make cap's costume more appealing to today's generation... and they are making a sgt fury movie-samuel jackson i think is up for the lead role.

fantastic four is coming out soon!!

Awe gee no not Samuel Jackson for Sgt. Fury!!  I hope they don't screw it up as the Sgt. Fury I followed was the World War II comic book and Mr. Jackson doesn't fit that part.

Well that is good news about Iron Man and Capt. America being made into movies.  I don't think they should change his outfit at all as he is set in the World War II time frame as well.  I don't like revisionists!

I have heard about the Fantastic Four!  Thanks for the updates.

Ed, would you rather have had David hasselhoff in the old Nick Fury movie? I think the choice for that comes from the new Ultimate line of books where Sgt. Fury is an African American.

I wish it would be Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos though. that wouldbe fun!!

Hi Ed:

I have not followed the new Sgt. Fury so I did not know they made him into an African-American!  It makes sense then for Samuel Jackson - he was cool in Basic!

I had heard that Bruce Willis was to make a Sgt. Rock movie but that was some time ago and I have not heard anything.  He would be cool as Sgt. Fury.  Hasselhoff I am not so sure of.

I recently purchased the complete DVD set for the first year of Combat, the TV World War II series from the early 1960's.  Outstanding!  Vic Morrow was great as Sgt. Saunders!  This was one of my favorite shows growing up along with 12 O'Clock High which I hope will come out on DVD.  The people who released Combat will also release the rest of the shows year by year in 2 sets for each year as there is 32 - 36 esisodes per year.  Now that was a series!   Smiley
