So, if they are planning a fourth Pirates, it may just follow Jack and start a whole new storyline.

quite probably the "fountain of youth" or whatever it was that he went looking for...

La Aqua Vita, wasn't it? Cool Cheesy

Like I said, the ending wouldn't have been too bad if it wasn't the last film. So fingers crossed!

I read an article that said that the third movie would be killing off a character that was of the least value to the story but cost the most money in terms of actor's fees - they of course meant Will. Although I do love his character, it's true. So we may not see Will in the fourth movie... although I hope not Sad

I would guess this to be Elizabeth! I have also heard somewhere that she wouldn't be doing any more Pirates. I remember hearing that she said something like...I've been doing Pirates since I was 17 and need to "move on" in my career!" Maybe the next movie will have adventures with Jack and Will out at sea during that 10 year curse!  Undecided  Praying

Saw it...Loved it... Grin

The set designs and effects were brilliant, the story was great, the cast was great. I didnt even notice how long it went for, I was sucked in the whole time! Much better than potc2 (I missed barbossa!)

It was very intense but I found I could follow it...the only question that remains in my head is what happens with Calypso and Davy Jones in the end, cause the whole calypso thing didnt really amount to much in the end (or so I think..)

Also can someone tell me what happened after the credits (pm me if u dont want to post here)

These movie producers make me die  Angry.  I would not have enjoyed POTC without all of the characters and I certainly wouldn't fancy three hours of Captain Jack.  You need something less 'eccentric' to counter the Jack madness.  It is like with Friends - I love Friends but hated Joey.  The fun is in the whole cast playing off each other, not just focusing on the most popular.

Reading between the lines I doubt if money was a consideration in who to dump - after all this is one of the biggest money spinners of all time.  I reckon if Will is left out of any future films it will be more to do with the 'less than friendliness' between Johnny and Orlando.  Whilst Mr Depp raves about the other cast members I have never seen one interview (including the commentary on POTC1) where he mentions Orlando much, let alone says anything particularly nice about him.

Well it is just my guess that they are not best buds.  As I said I have heard Johnny talk about practically every cast member from the pirate extras to the monkey and say very nice things about them.  Ever seen him say anything about Orlando?  Sometimes saying nothing can be more telling than saying something bad.......

We finally saw this yesterday and we both enjoyed it very much!   Smiley   Like others posted here the movie seemed to fly by for us.  There is so much going on I will see it again to make sure I caught everything.

Trey:

If someone has not told you already - after the credits the additional scenes showed Elizabeth standing on the bluff overlooking the sea with her 10 year old son waiting for Will to show up after his 10 year journey for their one night together again.  Will shows up at the appointed time in his ship sailing to meet Elizabeth and his son!   Smiley

Saw it again tonight...for the third time  Roll Eyes! Hey! I can't help it
when someone comes to my home and tells me they haven't seen it
yet! I'm being polite and I suggest an action packed evening at the
theater!!  ROFL!  Wink
Anyways, I always seem to notice something different each time I watch
these movies! Tonight I saw... at the end, when Jack realizes
his ship is gone, again, there is a full shot of him. And on the same belt that
he carries his compass, he is carring his "mum" on the other side!  Tongue Lips Sealed ROFL!

I saw it yesterday and I enjoyed it. The begining was great and while the middle dragged (for me) the second the Mailstrom scene begins it makes up for everything. Jacks multiple personalities were hillarious, and was it just me, or did that adorable little monkey steal litterly every scene.

I hope they make some more. They are fun films to watch.

Jack (the monkey) was adorable. I think the entire cinema went "awwwwwwwwwwwww" as one in the scene where he was covered in snow and shivering.

I was FINALLY able to see POTC3 this weekend.  Long boring story as to why I couldn't see it earlier...

Really enjoyed it - a lot tied back into 1 & 2 & the ride.  Was NOT wild about the length of the desert sequence & thought some of that could have easily been cut.

LOVED Keith Richards!

Had to run out just before the credits (3 hours is hard on the bladder) but got back into the theater to see the easter egg.  Quite nice!

Count me in with the girls who thought Captain Will in black was just hot......  Would really REALLY like a couple of screencaps from that....

I did not remember this image being in the film - came from a reviewer's site before the movie was released.

I read recently that those images were a hoax; ie pics of Cpt Jack were photoshopped into that funky looking outfit. If you look closely, the outfit is very clear while Jacks face (esp in the first photo) is not so clear.

I'm not a photoshop guru, but I don't remember that costume at all...
