Also saw this movie starring Kevin Costner as a U.S. Coast Guard Master Chief Rescue Swimmer and Ashton Kutcher as a new Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer trainee. Both of these actors turn in an outstanding performance set in the real world of what the U.S. Coast Guard does every day - save people's lives in the most extreme situations imaginable. The story follows Costner who is the most decorated Rescue Swimmer in the Coast Guard and what happens to him and his crew on an extremely dangerous rescue in the Bering Sea off Alaska. The story progresses and follows him into a training role to teach new swimmers what it will take to save lives in some of the world's most dangerous waters. The training is highly realistic and the Coast Guard went all out to make facilities available making the movie one of the best of its types I have seen. I read a review in which the actual Coast Guard professionals who acted as advisor's to the movie said that they were very impressed with Ashton Kutcher and felt that he could have become one of them in reality as he displayed all the skills and determination needed to become a Rescue Swimmer. The training to become one of these elite professionals is one of the toughest in the world and rightly so as you will see in this fine film. Go see it!
