I would like to pick up some, but knowing what other sets are coming out soon I'm trying to pass. Oddly enough I just don't have enough money for everything I want. Huh

I really don't have the money to collect this set either Roll Eyes , but I have a soft spot for the old Godzilla movies. Grin  I didn't buy any boxes (I read somewhere that the base and foil chase card collation was horrible), but I picked up a base set, foil set, binder and some sketches.  I won't be going for a master set of sketch cards (by artist or by character), but I'll just pick out a few key monster sketches that catch my eye. Cool

Why doesn't this surprise me? My only Comic Images purchase was 24. In every box there should have been an auto and a costume. In my case there was 1) No case topper Shocked and 2) Not one single autograph card.

I emailed customer services who swore blue that there was no case topper (although every seller on ebay had it listed as a case topper, as did Mr Allender, guru of Checklists), and they were pretty useless about the autos too.

Just poor - which totally contradicts Cindy's experience of them, I know, but this was an older set I suppose.

Comic Images customer service wasn't very helpful to me either.  I had requested a list of all the artists that drew for the set and here's the reply I got. Roll Eyes

Hello Anna,

If there is a particular one you are interested in we would be happy to
let you know who did it.  Otherwise the list is too lengthy....sorry.

Comic Images was really good to me when I was missing a costume for the Cat in the Hat set, which is definitely an older set.  It sounds like their customer service has changed since then. Undecided

As for Godzilla, how hard could it be to compile a list of the artists?  It isn't as if hundreds of people drew sketches for the set. Roll Eyes  Customer service just doesn't want to be bothered.

To me, any customer service person at Comic Images should have a list of the artists and anytime someone asks they could just copy and paste that list to the reply email. And that would be easier than explaining there's too many artists to list or ask again about a particular card.

And yes, I've been reading about horrible collation.

Yeah, it's pretty laughable. If they are that lethargic about compiling a list of sketch-artists mybe collectors will be equally apathetic when it comes to shelling out cash Roll Eyes

I wasn't originally going to get any of these cards, simply b/c of MM.  But, I must say, the sketch cards are really beautiful.  I may have to have one or two.   Wink
