A very sensible approach Tower, but sometimes it's worth showing a bit of faith - but in all fairness it doesn' t make sense to sell an item like this as your FIRST item...

Righto folks, I have had word from a reliable source that the peartree on ebay is a STOLEN CARD

(would you believe)

(no I am not trying top put the price of mine up Tongue)

So please don't bid on it - Artbox are onto it so I'd be surprised if it made it to the end of it's auction!

How interesting - they must have made one or two blank/unnumbered ones  Undecided

I'll bet they were wishing they weren't a "bricks and mortar" company now!

Hmmm... stolen from Artbox itself or from a dealer and then had its number removed so it could not be traced? One good thing about having numbered cards!

I found an article about his stores here:

http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2003/09/27/business/news/9_27_035_43_47.txt

He seems to have a good business, so hopefully he has good records on how and from whom he obtained the card.

if they can show that they brought the card legitimately then they have the right to sell it .

It might be that ebay has investigated and found that they have done nothing wrong in wanting to sell the card

Dunno about Ozzie law but here stolen goods are the property of whoever owned them int he first place and no matter how many times they have been sold on since then the person who has it does not own it  Sad

Well that's my understanding anyway... we have a legal eagle on our forum - we should ask him

...

Yeah, I wonder how you are able to pull a case incentive card from a pack... where did you get your info that it was stolen from Roz? Or if you can't say - what is the evidence it is stolen?

Cards inc of course, But I suppose the evidence is that it is not numbered, perhaps they made only one none numbered one of each card and kept them in an archive or soemthing - this is sheer speculation!

I'm waiting until monday for more info on what's going on with this card but until then folks, just proceed with caution  Smiley
