HBPU cases are arriving by donkey to the UK

My yearly trek to Birmingham was different this year. I wasn't the staggering got-to-buy-everything person of past cons. I didn't get to the show until noon but there were still plenty of people queuing to get in. That said, there wasn't as many there as last year. Manchester last week may have had something to do with this. I was going to splurge on a Memorable Moments box for Sharon but there were none to be had  Sad I picked up one card from a board member and reserved one from a dealer. Sharon's Christmas is looking better  Grin
The main reason I went was for the Card Talk meeting. This is held by the publisher of Non-Sports Update, Harris Toser. I recommend this mag to all. A really good read and they seem to get info before most others. The meeting itself was great, mainly because you are with a load of like-minded fans of the hobby. I'm looking forward to the time when there is a MASSYAK tm  Grin meeting. I read on another board that Roz was there, but missed her. Never mind, I can only be taken in small doses and twice in a week would have probably been too much  ROFL!
A good show but not much to be had for myself. Shame The Complete Avengers or Lost Season 2 wasn't out.

[Edited to change title from Collectormania to Memorabilia ROFL!]

If Artbox could give birth, it would be a redemption with the real one arriving 9 months later
The Artbox website is so old, Indiana Jones has started looking for it
Tutankhamun went on the Artbox website and saw it was out of date

Glad you had a good time Boggy.

I read on another board that Roz was there, but missed her.

Where did you read that? I was on a course here in Cam so I definitely wasn't there.... If anyone's sure I was there then all that confirms is that the time machine I'm making works ROFL!

I read yesterday evening that there's a Wii available to try at the Good Food Show (next door to Memorabilia) - so if we had gone, we wouldn't have made it past the good food show Grin

Howdy, I had a enjoyable weekend I dont think I met anyone from the shack but I did get to meet many of my ebay customers. I had an average fair from a dealers point of view but did hit my weekend target so on the whole i was pretty pleased. Hopefully we might have some new members as all the people who bought or asked questions about potter, LOTR and Cards in general got a healthy recommendation to come down to the shack.
If you did get anything from me thanks for everything and i hope you enjoy your purchase.
As for the wii I made a sunday afternoon trip to the golf show who had a display of the wii and a demo of their golf game I am really wanting one now.

I thought it was the best Memo there's been for a while.  I arrived at 11am and left around 2pm.  My poor feet!  I thought it was funny/cheeky that Collectormania took a stand over the weekend seeing as it's a rival show.  And poor old Leslie Philips, roped in for a second weekend on the trot!  I got an HD-DVD drive for my XBrick360 - it's really good, much better picture quality than that ropey old PS3 of mine  Wink  Unfortunately, they'd sold out of the two DS games I wanted - should have bought them last week but I did get Yoshi's Island and Final Fantasy 3.  He had some US Wii games as well.  I also bought a stunning Gandalf sketch card from the Evolution set by Dennis Budd.  Full colour and incredibly lifelike.  I daren't start on the Masterpieces sketches though!

Oddly enough I don't recall seeing any Memorable Moments.  I was hoping to get a nice Chudley Cannons poster variant.  The guy who sold me the Gandalf card said he didn't take MM because it was too expensive.

It's nothing like the Touch & Go game.  It's a full blown platformer.  I think it's a remake of the SNES game "Yoshi's Island".  I haven't played it as yet, not had time this weekend but according to the box it plays over both screens.  Looks very nice though.
