anyone else as in to trek as i am know that there manking another movie  lost's J.J Abrams is writing and directing and rumor has it that da,on was playing Kirk. he's said he'd do it. i', not sure hpw i feel about it though what do ye think?

Personally I think they should just create another Captain ie not try and re-vamp Kirk.  Yes keep them on the Enterprise, maybe even make it a relation of Kirk if absolutely necessary but just don't try and have someone else play the role.

ya i know what you mean. it's not the best idea but still we're not sure what the idea actually is. i'm still not sure what idea they're actually using.i think your right about having a new captain though.

I am almost certain it has already been said that this will be a prequel to the other star trek films and will be about Kirk before he took over the Enterprise. So a younger Kirk...something we have never seen.

Hmmm...I'll have to think about that one.  I'm a big Shatner fan, so I wouldn't like it if it's just a Kirk makeover on the Enterprise.  A younger Kirk?  Maybe I could go for that one.  He at least could look the part.
