Anyone see the trailers for the new movie  The 300?  It is a remake of a 60's film called The 300 Spartans which is a true story.  The new film has been made in the same style as Sin City!   Cool  I saw that David Wenham from Lord of the Rings is in it and I really thought I saw Viggo Mortensen in one of the trailers on TV the other day!  Now that would be really cool if he is in it as well!    Smiley  The web site is still under construction so I can't see who is in the cast just yet.  Here is the link:

Oh yeah!  They had the long trailer during Heroes on Monday.  It's supposed to be coming to Imax theatres too.  Can you even imagine??

I think we've all arrived at a very special place. Spiritually, acumenically, grammatically.

I looks really awesome.  It's based on Frank Miller's 300 comic

Well folks - I saw this one yesterday and what a film it is!   Cool  The History Channel had a 2 hour show this past week about "The 300" and it was an outstanding lead in to the movie.  Can anyone say Blockbuster - this movie blew away the competition over the weekend raking in over 70 Million Dollars!!  WOW!  The movie more than lived up to my expectations and it was great to see David Wenham in the film.  Sorry to say I was wrong when I thought I saw Viggo Mortensen in one of the film's trailers but that was ok as the entire cast did a great job in the movie!   Smiley

I posted over in Scoundrel that I thought "The 300" would be a great subject for sketch cards by our Artists.  I certainly am interested so I am looking forward to see what our Artist's say about that.   Smiley

I just got back from the movie and OH MY GOODNESS!!!!  It's visually stunning.  For all the ladies out there who aren't into bloody battle scenes, go anyway.  The beefcake is well worth it.  Shocked  I happen to really like battle movies, so it was win-win for me!  Grin  I can't say that it's beaten out my all time favorite movie Gladiator, just because the lack of character development, but it's definately a movie in my top 5.  The message was the key, though.  I think that's the real reason it's done so well at the box office.
