seeing as artbox have done such a good job with the HP sets - autos, props and costumes, as soon as the charlie set was announced by artbox i jumped at the cards.

but now they seem to have really fallen flat on their face.  i thought the cards were good with a nice selection of props and costumes. and very colourful too.  the only card i'm missing along with most people i expect - is the golden ticket prop Cry

so why have they bombed? or have they?  they are definatly not getting the same pricesas they used to on  Ebay!

not sure whether to sell my cards off or keep them for my son.  probably keep them. Smiley

CATCF...is probably just died a natural death like allot of cult movies or movies in general..I suppose if there was 3 or 4 more movies that continued with the characters, the cards in general would have a more lasting appeal..The Potter cards will  be stronger allot longer due to length of years it has been in the limelight.....Star Wars is one that really comes to mind..even Star Trek

maybe Tim Burton should go see the movie makers, get a budget and make the glass elevator into a movie and get artbox to produce a set for that. That might bring them (CaTCF cards) back in the lime light!

they could make a nice piece of glass from the elevator into a 25 case incentive!
i'm sure that would cut a nice price on  Ebay!

Yeah I agree with HP, LOTR, Star Trek, X Men etc there are always new novels or shows or movies or comics to buy which spark people's interest again, whereas there's no obvious reminder for CATCF (unless they do a movie of the sequel of course Smiley)

It's a real shame as it was a really good quality release with fab autos, fab props and I thought it was nicely done.

Like everyone has said if they don't continue with another movie or its a set thats released with no follow-up. You can bet after the mad rush to get them they will die!

Like with any set and me, I buy, theres no follow-up so I sell. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, was one of them I lost interest and now there all on eBay.

Theres one set my "Catwoman" set by Inkworks theres no follow-up but I can't bring myself to do anything with it. It was my first Master Set and now its kind of special to me! Smiley

I too am disappointed by the rapid drop in value of the Catcf cards. I've got all the autos (inc Depp), Charlies sweater, wrapping paper prop card and a whole host of the other prop/costume cards, but they are just sitting in a protected box in the loft, purely because, although I don't want them, I can't bring myself to selling them on ebay and losing a lot of cash.

At least I've learned from my mistake.
