...re-posting here...my bad...didn't see the "Events" upon first look.

Hello everyone!

I'll be attending and I'm hopeful there may be a few of you here who will be attending Celebration Europe in London come this July.

Other artists attending so far...:
Cynthia Cummens
Joe Corroney
Chris Trevas
Randy Martinez
Adam Hughes
Allison Sohn
Cat Staggs
Russell Walks

I'd love to meet anyone who is attending, I think it will be quite the event!

I'll be heading to the Devon area (Compton Castle to be specific) sometime before or after the convention I'm sure someone here can give me the most direct and least expensive way to get there! Wink

Thank you!!
Leah

PS -
I'm taking pre-orders (a waiting list) for sketch cards and regular drawings so everyone can save on customs and postage!  Even for those not attending I can send them directly from London.

Let me know!

It really does sound fab. I think I'd go bust very quickly whilst perusing the artists corner Cheesy

Is that "who's got the nicest car and who's willing to take me? ROFL!"

I've stolen a very nice car at present (not literally...), but it's not mine, so I can only help with the train journey Smiley

If I were you I'd take the train, if you hire a car you'll get stressed out if you haven't driven on the left before and we have these lovely things called round-abouts Smiley Besides if you are driving you can't appreciate the view.

Take the train from London Paddington (take a moment here to visit the Paddington store. He's a very special bear to Britain and is a migrant from the Americas too ROFL!), head out on a train to Newton Abbot and change to Paignton where you should be pretty near by then... so take a taxi. It's a National Trust property - what draws you to it?

My travelling companion will be familiar with the "left" driving but I certainly wouldn't mind taking the train, especially if it would involve a Paddington Bear accompaniment and actually seeing the views!!

I have limited familiarity with roundabouts, believe it or not, we had two of them in Santa Barbara (my former hometown)...but NOT driving on the left...I am too young yet for a heart attack!!  ROFL!  Wink

Since, I've seriously limited time in the UK I wanted to visit a place of personal value.  I am one of the gr,gr,gr...etc.,etc., grand-children of Sir Humphrey Gilbert.  Not too long ago a cousin, Geoffrey Gilbert I believe, re-purchased the property (he grew up there as a child), he and his family manage it for the NT.  It would be nice to trace a few family steps!

And, for good measure...since it's only a short hop away...Torquay!  (Fawlty Towers fan)

Yup, you could always take the train to Torquay and change there, it's only a few miles (if you were feeling REALLY extravagant you could always take a taxi the rest of the way).

It's always a good idea to have some ideas of how you'd like to spend your time. I hope the weather is good for you (if not, then wait 10 minutes, that's usually how long it takes for the weather to change in Britain Smiley).

Thank you, Roz!

I look forward to a change in weather patterns as all we have here is sun, no really, maybe 15 days of overcast/rain in a year.  So, I'm good with whatever Britain has to offer (assuming it's not a 100 year rain...or heat wave, lol).

Here are the ticket prices. It seems they have tried to make the cost as galactic as the theme of the show  Angry  With something as world-widely popular as Star Wars, you can only think that greed was the factor. For sure, there will be a lot of fans missing out because of this   Angry Angry

If this was for LOTR I'd be there like a shot ROFL! I'm tempted as it is and I have never even seen the star wars films *ducks*

Roz, you don't have the movies on DVD?  Everyone has them on DVD! Wink  We've been talking about doing a Star Wars marathon at my house, but we can't decide which triology to watch first. Roll Eyes  I want them in chronological order according to the storyline, and my husband thinks we should watch them in the order they were released.  Men. Roll Eyes

You should watch them, Roz.  Along with those poor jungle natives from Borneo.  Their village DVD player is broken.  ROFL!  JK!
