PS3 Hit or Flop?

Is the Sony PS3 a Hit or a Flop? IYO?
As some people might know I work of Woolworths in the UK, we got 8 PS3's in for release date and a week later we still have all 8 available.
I was in Argos today and they had 98 available (That was just in my local store & it isn't that big)
Retailers where expecting this to be a huge hit!
But do you think it is in a customers opinion or a flop?

Well from an other retails POV we sell one a day if we are lucky. Personally I wouldn't lay out that kind of cash. If I was going to buy a new system it would be the Wii just because its so different for game play.

I think the probem is that there are not enough games out for the PS3 yet that are really great. I plan to get one eventually, in fact, with the next Harry Potter game coming in July, I would prefer to play it on the PS3 over the PS2. The thing is, the PS3 no longer has the rumble feature in the controllers and this upset me a bit. It does cost way too much, but I still plan to get one within a few months.

Not sure how much it is everywhere else, but its £425 here with games around £40 and an extra controller (it only comes with one) £35 it all adds up to be pretty expensive. And you can't play old games on it and no rumble

I hate that you can't play old games on it because my PS2 is starting to act up and not play all my games. I reset God of War 2 for almost an hour last night before it finally took it.
My sister got me an extra controller for the PS3 for Christmas because she knows I am getting one evntually. In the US, they are $600 and most games are $60
But eventually, they will stop making games for the PS2 and those of us who want one, will just have to go get one.

Not being able to play the old games on the new system is upsetting...it's like if you want to play your favorite games on the new system, you have to buy the games all over again when (if) released and that's kind-of a rip off. Maybe I'm wrong, but it always seems like you get one new version and pretty shortly thereafter there's a new one!
They are so expensive and it always seems like they are coming up with something new.
The Wii does look interesting and very different.
