I adopted this little fella yesterday (sorry for the blurry photo): and he needs a name! He is a boy, born on valentines day (awwww); he is a pale cafe latte colour (called "dove") and instead of the normal smooth fur he has a kind of frizzy fur (its cute )...so now all he needs is a name.. any suggestions?

lol wouldnt want to give him a complex and name him after someone evil I would have liked to call him Latte, but a cat a couple of houses down already has that name, and every knows him, so that would be confusing

My younger sister had a stuffed rat when she was a child. He had a stomach that stuck out a little and big pink and gray ears. Your rat reminds me of him. We called him Sidney for the maid from Maude, a seventies television show's, boyfriend. She called him her kidney from Sidney. The boy friend was from Sidney, Austraila.

I think we have a final selection: Bailey. Named after Baileys Irish Cream liquer (my favourite, and a perfect match for his colour)

hehe thanks He and Bella (the cat) met nose to nose this evening...she is interested, but not in the sense of a normal cat, as she has never seen a real rat before... so hopefully they can be (supervised) friends...

Someone I worked with named their daughter Bailey after the drink But I think it is far more suitable for your new pet . I was going to ask what Bella thought of him. You do realise though if Bailey falls asleep on Bella's back you will never find him

Oh, thats a bit scary, naming a child after an alcoholic drink At the moment it seems like a big name for such a little rat, but he'll grow into it.... he's a bit quiet at the moment (probably lonely, had 11 siblings...) but he perks up when i enter the room which is nice Bella knows what toy mice are; she carries them round, howls at them, and puts them in her food bowl, and sometimes her water bowl but a real live rat is a bit of a curiosity for her at the moment
