This is only a temporary forum for people to discuss the content of the final book... WHEN THEY HAVE FINISHED IT. In good time (several months after the release) this content will be merged into the main HP & TDH forum.

If you stray into here before you have finished the book, then you may see something that you wish you hadn't.

However, Cindy's rules still apply. People browsing the main forum don't want to inadvertently come across a thread title that gives anything away, so take a look here for her advice:

(Hope you don't think we're getting too bossy, but it's key that people only find out the plot of this book by reading everything in the right order... unless you are my mother, then you will read the final chapter first Roll Eyes).

I can speak from personal experience that it absolutely stinks to have the ending of an HP book ruined.  I accidentally stumbled across info about the big death in OOTP a few days before the book was released. Undecided  Of course, part of that was my own fault for poking around the Internet, but had I realized that the plot would be spoiled, I never would have read that post on another message board (if the thread title hadn't been so innocuous, I would have skipped it).

I don't think we're being bossy, just protective of our members and lurkers. Smiley  Once we hear that "Harry lives" or "Harry dies," that's the end of the suspense from reading the book.  There are some sites (one very large Yahoo Group, in particular) that are shutting down for a certain number of hours after the book is released in the UK.

Just because I'm rotten, I will spoil it for you all by letting you know that at the end of the book, Harry lives...or dies  ROFL!  I'm going to have an each-way bet on it  Grin
