Am I the only one here who's collecting the Shrek the Third set?  It's a really cute set -- nice base cards, two funny chase sets (one of which is "scratch & stink" cards), plus full-color sketches.  Prices for the cards seemed to bottom out very quickly.  IMHO, I think the boxes just didn't have enough value with only one sketch and no other inserts. Undecided I have a box on the way, but also picked up two sketches. Smiley

 Evil

Really look around for those auctions.  Some of them have been ending very cheaply, well below half of the usual US $60 price per box.

I didn't think boxes were cheap either and went for the lower subsets, and will watch for sketches if they move me. Sketches for Shrek 2 and Robots weren't very expensive, eventually.

I've heard that the Scratch 'N Stink cards are different for the Retail packs, with a green background instead of gold. But I haven't seen any in auctions to confirm. Can anybody say for sure, and say whether they are the same images as the Hobby SNS cards?

I'd like to know the answer to that question, too.  I've looked at many stores in my area, but haven't found one that carries the retail cards.

I just opened a box and was very pleased!  Cheesy  I loved Chad Frye's sketches for Robots and he did a great job again for Shrek.

And some auctions for the retail (green background) stink cards are showing up, for instance: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200120322280.
