Sorry Morningangel-Iola...it doesn't look like she was.
I have just been looking at thesnitch website today and one of their news stories from yesterday (1st) says that the London Film and Comic Con website has been updated with the news that Natalie Tena will no longer be able to attend the convention.
No details on why. I don't know if London film and comic con website has any reasons.

I have never been to such a poorly lit place that relies mainly on visuals for buyers and sellers alike. The irony was that downstairs, they were setting up for a lighting show  Roll Eyes
Anyway...
I enjoyed meeting Billy West - very funny and I will start watching Futurama because of him. Hugh Mitchell was also very nice but if you based recognising him by the picture on the LFCC, forget it
Bought various gap-filling cards and a box of Star Wars 30th (hoping for that auto)  Got a very nice Katie Cook sketch .
Pre ordered a couple of Heroes cases at a very nice price .

Stoney - they never give reasons for drop-outs except to say other commitments prevent them from attending. There were 4 no-shows announced the day before the show which I feel is very poor as you may have bought your ticket based on a single person being there. 10 drop-outs this time, which on past records, is average.

All in all, the show gave the feeling of an indoor market, poorly organised. Sharon got to meet Richard, Chris and Joy  Kiss but it wasn't the best show to take her to after a 10 year absence. Everyone made the best of it because that's all you could do. Roll on Collectormania.

Have to agree with Boggy the show lighting was terrible, I for one missed out on buying stuff cus I coudnt see it clearly   Hopping Mad It was nice to meet Gimly LOL amd I managed to find a couple of BSG cards I needed with him, even though I had managed to bring the wrong wants list  Tongue SO quick question for Gimly LOL what were the numbers of the Catwoman cards you had hidden away I am sure I needed a couple LOL
As for signings well the two I wanted had pulled out so that was a no no  Sad there was apparently a artist there doing sketch cards but I coudnt find him & the three who I did find were doing A4 & A3 size only (I am out of wall room  Sad LOL)  Did manage to find a box of Buffy 10th Anniversary also a set of Batman Metal  Grin  Picked up a Danger Mouse T shirt for Mrs Orc as well  Grin  Overall except for meeting Gimly a bit of a wasted trip I am sorry to say I actualy came home with over half my cash intact  Shocked

Have to agree with comments before about the lighting, its was truly awful and was apparently worse on Saturday. Combined with the layout, when me and my mate were going round the stalls you felt as if you were going round in circles.

As to the guests on Sunday (me the 4 Heroes, my mate the 4 Heroes + Dominic and Patrick Stewart) all were brilliant, but then we had low numbers for each. My only gripes would be that they stopped Hayden personalizing just before I got to her  Huh (minor grumble) and they would not let you take photos from the queues. I accept that posed photos take time and I do not use a flash, so as long as your not holding the queue up I can't see why you shouldn't take pictures Hopping Mad. I'm beginning to wonder if Showmasters are trying to force people into paying for the Photoshoots.

On the card side I picked up my Buffy 10th Anniversary cards and much to Bob's suprise I made my first purchase from the Uniquites stand - the Sword of Hiro Nakamura

I agree the lay out left a lot to be desired, and it did feel like walking round in circles, my legs still ache LOL

Well this was the show that put me off of going to shows ten years ago and I probably won't go to one for another ten years  ROFL! ROFL!

The highlights of the show were meeting Chris, Joy and Richard, oh and seeing Anthony (another dealer whom I haven't seen for soooo long).  Chris has some of the most amazing cards you could imagine and is a true collector who loves the cards.  Joy gave me a master class in base set wrapping and I managed 23 sets on Sunday afternoon  Grin.  Richard also has the most beautiful cards but unfortunately he had gone to the dark side of the force, ooops I meant show.  I expect he went home with a raging headache as the lighting was just so poor where he was.

I saw a few of the HP kids (I will have to use their character names as I don't know their real names  Embarrassed) -

Colin Creavey, as Boggy said, is totally unrecognisable, with very long wavy hair and a nose stud.  Dudley is much slimmer than in the last film so I am pretty sure he was 'padded'.  But best of all was Seamus  Grin.  What a wonderful lad.  He was in the middle of the row but whenever someone wanted their picture taken with him he jumped the table and happily posed - if I saw him jump over once I saw him do it ten times and don't think I saw the smile leave his face.

Yes the lighting or lack of it Roll Eyes I did get very confused going around the stalls not knowing where I had and hadn't been. I looked at Chris' cards and went around to corner to think about it, but then thought I had to go and get them then or I may never find him again. There was another stall I wanted to go back to but did loads of circuites and didn't find it, luckily I found it on the way back.

I didn't get any autos, did see Patrick Stewart getting escorted through, wouldn't have spotted him if they hadn't have made so much of a fuss.

Glad Seamus was so nice.

iIf i wasn't afraid of the dark before, i am now!!!Sheesh GRaham, you weren't wrong about the lighting there were you??? What were they thinking??

Anyways i got there early doors.... managed to get a virutal queuing ticket for Patrick Stewart (#0003 ) but i was totally manic, especially as he was only signing for 3 hours!!

So i went and got my auto from Dominic Monagham first, pleasant chap (some people have told me he is a bit of a wally at shows - but i didn't think so). Then i moved onto to Nana Visitor - now she was totally lovely.... spent our time talking about here hair - lol!! got two auto's from her!!

then i finally queued for PaTrick, my fav Trek Captain so this was something special for me and he at least made time to say hi and read my t-shirt proceeding to tell me he had been to Santa Cruz in Cali (my tshirt said Santa Cruz) considering how the organisers were rushing everyone!!!

Oh and if you want picture of the heroes stars, patrick stewart, or dominics monaghan... good luck!! no pictures were allowed in that area at all - posed or otherwise!!! i really hate showmasters sometimes!!!

good day though!!! very tiring!!
