Hi guys, I am from the UK and i am thinking of buying Harry Potter sealed boxes online from sites in the U.S. This will be my first time at doing this so i would be really grateful if anyone can recommend some really good sites that you as fellow forum members have had good experiences ordering from and that also ship to the UK. I have found one site that looks good which is tradingcardscollectibles.com. Has anybody used this website before to buy from?. Any help would be a godsend as i don't want my first experience of this to be a bad one!.

That's not a real site - it's a mock up search site filled with lots of common search terms & links to who-knows-what. I've been seeing lots of those around. I would NOT order from them.

I have just been looking at one of their pages that has their address on (they are based in Jacksonville, Texas) and all their contact details...phone number, e-mail address etc. It says they have 15 years of business experience. Have we both got the same site?.

It isn't a real site. It's sort of a search engine. I'm not getting the exact same view as tialessa, but I think that might be because she's using Microsoft Explorer and I'm using a Netscape browser called SeaMonkey.
If you're looking to buy boxes from U.S. dealers, there are a number of good ones, including Tom Breyer, Potomac Distributing, and Ed at Sci-Fi Cards. There are others, too. I'm not playing favorites, but you could contact them and find out what their UK shipping policies are.

Sorry guys....my mistake. I'm really really sorry. The site is tradingcardcollectibles not tradingcardscollectibles. No s after card. Here is the link to their site. http://www.tradingcardcollectibles.com/If you're looking to buy boxes from U.S. dealers, there are a number of good ones, including Tom Breyer, Potomac Distributing, and Ed at Sci-Fi Cards. I'm on their mailing list. I've never purchased from them, though. They often claim to have the best prices on the Internet, but that's not always true. Tom has a site which is off-line right now while he's working on it. You can contact him at tbreyer@optonline.net. Potomac: www.potomacdist.comEd's site: http://www.scificards.com/There are other good dealers, too, and you should be able to find them with a Google search.

Thanks kbmum. You are a star I have just found another site. http://www.TheCardKid.com that looks good. They have quite a few different HP sealed hobby boxes. They have already replied to my e-mail about shipping to the UK. They have said that standard airmail takes 6-10 days. They are on ebay too. Not sure if it's CaptainCollect or Captain-Collect-and-TheCardKid. Has anyone ever dealt with them?.

I've bought from them via eBay and they were good. I'm not sure about the 6-10 day delivery for First Class International -- that's usually the time frame for Priority. When you ask USPS about this, they won't give a First Class delivery time. They just say it varies. Obviously, that's not the seller's fault, but I don't want you to get false hopes about quick delivery. I've had First Class packages take 6 to 10 weeks to reach the UK and Germany.

Captain Collect & Card Kid merged into one account some time last year from what I remember. Their UK shipping prices are on the high side which is why I haven't bought from recently.

Hi guys, Many many thanks to all who have offered advice and help to me so far. It is very much appreciated. Potomac does look excellent. And even if your order doesn't meet their $150 order minimum they have a retail site..universalcards.net for smaller orders.
