hey folks - I just opened my 4 boxes of POA hobby. Got autos out of three and some OK costume cards. The fourth (and last) box I opened was beginning to look like a dud - down to three packs and no prop/auto. The open the next pack and found an auto & cloth insert.
Had a few packs with just three cards and a few packs with 13 cards - guess it balanced out.
Very strange collation but, at the same time, I've only open these 4 boxes of the POA edition.

Congrats on all the pulls from your POA boxes sfmuggle! Those prop cards are elusive little blighters aren't they!. I've had 3 boxes of POA up till now without any prop success. I had a 13 card pack too but all my other packs had the normal number!. Could you list all your autos and costume cards that you pulled?.

hi stoney - yeah, it is kind of tricky but part of the fun for me is the anticipation of something cool. I was really lucky to find a dealer with sealed boxes in hand. I'm going off of memory (at the office right now). x1 Cornelius Fudge auto, x1 Remus Lupin auto, x1 Ginny Weasley auto, x1 Honeydukes prop insert, x1 George Weasley costume, and x1 Radcliffe costume. There are two more inserts but I can't quite remember at present.
all in all, not too bad given what I've heard about POA and POAU dud boxes.
cheers

My box arrived today and unfortunatly a dud box, I'm gutted but its the luck of the draw I suppose. I'm still glad I bought the box and it was fun to open my first box from this set

God I hate that luck of the draw Ive seen a box that was got by the redemption from the Deathly hallows part 2 set not a box of this set but it was un-numbered, does this mean it was made up by artbox itself to get rid of spare cards? If so it may have more hits than that which was originally intended when they were released

On ebay I think But wouldn't that make sense for artbox to get rid of the spare cards they had left over for replacements of damaged ones?

Does anyone have any empty boxes or wrappers spare from the Harry Potter Artbox Sets?

It looks like the letter says: "Product: HP 1 Hobby Box" "Quantity: 1 Item" It doesn't say "1 HP Prisoner of Azkaban Hobby Box". Also, the picture shown is for a Sorcerer's Stone box. I received an unnumbered box of SS in a case that I bought. Added this picture 11-25-2011, as you can see the middle box has no number. It was an ordinary box, here's the contents: Box NO Number/8000 BT1 Slytherin vs Gryffindor Cake Box 406-490 Luke Youngblood as Dean Thomas autograph R1, R3, R5, R6, R9

Yeah, they might not have numbered it because they kept it un-circulated until now. Is it for Sorcerer's Stone though, not POA. I don't think Atrbox made new boxes to give away with the winner cards. I think the winner cards were more made up based on the left over stock they had.

I knew it was a sorcerers stone box, I didn't mean it to sound like a POA box. Thanks, I didn'y know if knew ones were made or not. Good luck to whoever does win the box on their pulls

Sorry, my mistake. Since you posted the first entry in the "Prisoner of Azkaban Artbox Trading Cards" thread I erronously assumed you were upset because it was a dud POA box. Had it been posted in the "Sorcerer's Stone Artbox Trading Cards" the fog might have lifted.

This thing is now well over $200.00. I wish them luck. It doesn't seem to be bulging a a hot box would, and I don't recall any SS boxes being reported. Has anyone?

I don't remember hearing of any SS hot boxes either. The only sets I remember them from were POA, GOFU and then the one where they gave a hot box to distributors for multiple case orders (don't remember the set).

Sorry I just didn't think it was worth starting a new thread for its my fault my appologies The last sorcerer stone boxes I saw sell were for about $110-120 and now as you say its double. The only reason I can see is the fact it was held back by artbox and maybe has a rare insert (even though they wouldn't have known)
