Sorry I know there is a thread somewhere about who should be who but it was ages ago and search isn't helping me and I should be in bed, so anyway if you want to move me please do.

Anyway..... I have just read that Jim Broadbent is going to be Slughorn, which I think is great because he's such a great actor.

He'll be good!

I hope Stephen Fry makes the cast as well... not sure what role he would play though

Fry was "in" Goblet of Fire, after all. As "Narrator." Maybe there's a chance for a costume card for what he wore to the dubbing session.

I just saw Hot Fuzz with Jim Broadbent.  Funny movie!  Filch (forgot his real name) was in it too as the farmer with the barn full of weapons.

Oops, my mistake. I didn't notice that IMDB included listings for the video games too. I must have thought that "VG" was a new ratings category.  Lips Sealed

I guess I have to revise my total of HP actors who appeared in Gormenghast to five.

I don't think he did all of them.

Hot Fuzz is brilliant!

I'm really happy about Jim Broadbent's casting as Slughorn. I really think he will do justice to the complexities of the character.

I don't know about anyone else, but I thought Slughorn was mighty complex with regard to the various emotions the reader felt for him. I rolled my eyes, laughed, was disgusted a time or two, pitied him, etc. I think Jim Broadbent will bring out all those feelings beautifully.  Smiley
