Well... more guidelines.... Parlais?
1) Instead of linking to each of your auctions, please only include one link (if you have a shop, you may have two links, e.g. one to your current auctions and one to your shop).
2) All links now need to be "Yak Friendly". This means that when you post the link to your auction(s) you need to click through to the page showing all your auctions (make sure that this isn't your 'my eBay' page). Copy that link.
Now go to:
http://affiliates.ebay.com/odcs/custom.htm?template=FlexToolYou will be asked first to enter the Yak "CJ PID"
This is: 1738318
Secondly you will be asked to enter the URL of the eBay page that you want to link to. That's your auction page link.
You don't want to enter anything in the third box, that's for the creation of a web page (which uses a different kind of code to the forum, so it won't work I'm afraid).
Now click on the 'make my link' button.
You will now see two links. Firstly a 'link with anchor tabs' - that's for web pages again... which is no good on our forum, so ignore that, and copy the link in the second box (described as 'link only').
Right! Congratulations, you are ready to go!
Paste that into your new Diagon Alley thread and from now on it will always have a link to your latest auctions. You may alter your first post to be up to date and relevant to your latest 'spares sale'.
Hooray! You will never need to do that again... if you encounter any problems at all, please do ask myself, KBMum or ferdinand_the_yak. It's not as complicated as it sounds, but if you have any troubles we are all here to help.
If you are posting any eBay links elsewhere in the forum, it would be great if you could ensure to use a Yak Shack affiliates link. Anyone found using anyone else's affiliate link with be out of here faster than you can say Quidditch (it's very easy to tell... and this forum costs a LOT to keep running each month, so your co-operation is much appreciated).
Thanks everyone.
