I am currently counting down the days I fly out of heathrow next tuesday so I am all ready for preview night plus I just found out Marvel Masterpieces set 2 comes out this week so it sure looks like I will be pretty broke pretty quick thats even before I go to vegas.
5 work days left and counting.
I am really pleased about the backpacks they should be a little easier to handle than usual well thats the thinking anyway.

That doesn't sound too bad.  Is there anyone out there who might be willing to buy one for me?

Is there a chance we would get a non-Potter bag (ie a Lost bag)?

Just a warning for newbies. During Thursday,Friday and Saturday last year, I spent 7 hours+ queuing just to get what I considered the essentials - goodie bags and Death Eater exclusive. Elbows and a loud "I was before you" voice is required. Beware of good natured banter. It always comes from the person behind you and as you talk, they do a cunning waltz and before you know it, they're in front of you  Shocked  If you are 10th in the queue, you are the most vunerable as some exclusives are dished out at the rate of 10 a day. Do not stand for the "I'm holding a place for my friend/mother/brother" etc. When the doors open, RUN.
Enjoy. It's great  Grin

No joke too.  I was literally run over last year.  Fortunately Mike saw that I was trampled and made sure I got a Death Eater set.  it's crazy.  I mean folks you're talking to seconds before (and who seem like the nicest people) will pull a Jekyll and Hyde.  Scary.  The goodie bags are awesome.  Last year's bag had lots of great stuff and hoping for more of the same this year.

Anyway, I'll be there on Wednesday at around Noon.  I should wear a name tag w/ "sfmuggle" on it, hahaha Smiley

Don't quote me on this but I heard the goodie bags might be different this year

2 per person
a possible different price
more loaded than previous years

that is what my distributor who I am picking one up for told me, but I do not know if that is 100% correct yet.

Good to know about the possible changes.  I like the "more loaded than ever" part  Grin

So how does this work?  My friend won't be in the dealers room until later in the day, and he certainly is not waiting in line to then trample people or be trampled.  If he swings by the Artbox booth in the afternoon or evening and buys a goody bad, will all the stuff everyone is so excited about be gone?

These bags are expensive I'm wondering if I should give him money to pick one up for me.

Input would be welcome!  Thanks!!!

Usually they sell out in the first 30 minutes of the convention each day. They usually (in the past) had 100 bags per day, and each person got 1 bag (the last two years) so only the first 100 people there got them. Going later in the day there is a good chance they WON'T get one, but I don't know how it is going to be done this year.

Last year I didn't get a bag on the first or second day cause they sold out.  Bryanjs14 is right in that you should go earlier rather than later for the bags.

I just found out that they are going to have a special exclusive only for San Diego Comic Con Pixar Cars Lightening McQueen car in a case available for $15.00 there. I would love to get two of them one for me and one for my nephew who collect these cars but sadly there is no way I can go :-(

Have fun to all who are going and good luck with the goodie bags ;-)

You might want to try the Mattel website the first day of the convention.  I didn't see anything about it being a con exclusive.  All the Hasbro stuff will be available online, but you have to be fast.  I'm getting a pony.  Grin

Or actually, check now.  They might be available for pre-order.

Looks like it is an exclusive, but maybe they'll come out with a similar one (no base) later on?  You never know.

Thanks for the news  Sad

It is getting a little ridiculous how they are making certain Pixar Cars hard to get  Hopping Mad This is the third set of Cars or Car in this case that probably won't be in my collection or my nephews due to what the price will end up being outside of the convention  Roll Eyes

Still thank you so much for the information and again good luck with the Pony you want  Wink
