The rarest HP Card out there is hands down the Pear Tree leaves from the Prisoner of Azkaban set.

However in my personal book, I think the 25-case Goblet of Fire Harry's Wand card would be the rarest card. It is one of the most important props in the movies for sure so I think it would be the most desireable. But the Pear Tree leaves sell for RIDICULOUS amounts when they hit ebay (usually only once or twice a year)

The rare cards are definitely the case incentives, like Bryan said, the Pear Tree Leaves, Platform ticket and Harry's (even Cedric, Fleur and Victor's) wands. Sue, have you tried using the price guide? If so, you can check out the incentives for any of the sets and see how many were made of each. You can even sneak a peak of the average price they have been going for on eBay.

The rarest I have, i think, is the Quad auto/costume from GOFU and my Harry and Hermione's autos (I still need to get a Ron). I also have a Whomping Willow, but that one doesn't go for nearly as much as some of the other incentive cards.

If you go to the "View Cards" section of the price guide, you can scroll through a list of every card in the price guide (HP and more) and see the number made for each HP card.  The cards with the lowest numbers are the GOF Triwizard Champion wands (28 of each), POA Pear Tree Leaves (30), SS Gringotts Coins (40 of each), and SS Platform 9 3/4 Ticket (40).

I like to think there are different types or levels or rare and some of my favorite cards are not necessarily super low in production.

For instance, the Wizard Candy Prop cards from the Sorcerer's Stone set are not terribly low in number, but there are several different kinds and all usually bring a pretty penny on ebay. Some others are the Buckbeak feather, Fawkes feather, autos of the trio, Sirius auto, the Yule Ball Program and Poster, Monster Book of Monsters, etc. Those are really great cards, but they are not as limited as the Pear Tree leaves, Gringotts coins, or the wands.

There are so many wonderful cards! Welcome to the world of card collecting--you will have so much fun!  Cheesy

The main big ones are as mentioned the Pear tree leaves, the Platform 9 3/4 ticket (I was sooooooooo annoyed at that!!) and the champions wands. All are numbered /30 or less.

I'm only fortunate enough to have a Cedric wand, but its a nice variant so I shouldn't complain!

That's a great card to collect with so many different color varieties.  Smiley Another one I like is the Sorcerer's Stone and any and all of the Daily Prophets.  Smiley
