I went to see this last night with a hardcore X-Files geek (I’d say I have a “normal” appreciation of it

)). It was fully sold out, but fortunately we had snaffled the last tickets a few days in advance. Being the uber-geek he is, my movie companion insisted that we attend the Gold Class cinema showing which is the equivalent of business class – i.e. more than double the normal ticket price, but with huge squishy recliners (I amused myself greatly with the electric seatback and footrest adjustment system).
The movie itself was very well done and executed in typical X-Files style. For the first 30 minutes or so, we were both thinking “WTF?” Gillian and David were brilliant as usual, they just slipped back naturally into their characters. I was disappointed that one of my favourite characters only made a very brief appearance towards the end

Keep an eye out for the hilarious little dig they give George Bush in one scene about 20 minutes into the movie

)
I won’t spoil this for anyone, suffice to say that it definitely did the series proud. Sequel, anyone?
