Let me explain. Before you go delving into the intriguing and often frustrating world of The Stone, you will need Time. Time is the answer.

The Stone is an internet mystery game that consists of a grid of puzzles that need to be solved, with the ultimate aim of..........well, no-one quite yet knows !

The puzzles consist of visual clues, sometimes word clues, that lead you to search web-sites and any other means at your disposal, to find the correct answer. The subject matters range from basic science and art, history & geography, to more obscure unexplained events. Whether you believe them or not.

To give you the benefit of my experience, it is the most remarkable game I've ever played. It drives you bonkers, it frustrates, it educates. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who enjoys puzzles, enjoys working the grey-matter and is open-minded to all things past, present & future.

There is a one-off fee required to play, which gives you access to the puzzles and the Community of 1000's of other players within. It is perfectly safe for children to be involved, though given the difficulty of most of the puzzles, adult assistance will probably be required.

I'll end by saying I started playing this game in February...........

......that's February 2000, 4 1/2 years ago !

And I still haven't finished  Shocked

Any questions, you know where I am. Or do you.

Excellent, glad to see you've enjoyed your first steps into the world of The Stone. There is much for you to discover on your journey, with many hidden paths along the way.

As for the buried clues, they have all now been found. The last ones were found during Gatherings in the US, Canada & the UK this time last year. A Gathering is where like-minded Stoners get together for what could be considered a meeting of Stone minds but is actually a bit of a party  Grin

At the same time, a documentary film-maker along with The Stone creator, went to each of the Gatherings last year to record the events. The finishing touches to an actual movie are just being made now, and amazingly enough, the soundtrack is by Pink Floyd.

I've only just realised that the method of purchasing access has changed to online. In the begining, everyone purchased an actual physical Stone pendant, that have a unique set of symbols which are your code for entering the site. It is still possible to find them around in various on-line retailers in the USA, I believe. I'll let you know if I can find any Stones for sale.

In the meantime, this is what some of the symbols looks like. Just the bottom 6 symbols. Yes, there is another story here. There are many stories attached to The Stone  Cool

I would love to see this movie, can you let me know when it comes out and the name of it, I think it will be very interesting. I'll take a look around and see if I can find a stone also.

Very cool tatoo  Grin

Not me, I'm afraid. Only 1 of the clues was here in the UK. This is a slightly out-of-date idea as to what the buried clues were adding up to :

And this is the official movie site that will be updated. The current trailer shows the game's creator ( a Canadian) when he was over here at Stonehenge last year. It's odd and typically enigmatic ! A more complete trailer is due shortly, I believe.
