You are absolutely correct. I guess since I have only seen the US version, and the blu-ray version was just released in December...I got a bit concerned. I had no idea they filmed those bits twice. Of course, I still want to get the Sorcerer's Stone version as well to feel as if I have a complete set. Can't have my kid be the only kid in the US getting in fights with other children over what the real name is. Oh, I admit, it is even going to be weird for me to watch the first time.

Roz, I don't fully understand why they ever changed the name either. I would have been fine with it the way it was. Ryan says that a Philosopher philosophies and a Sorcerer does magic.

Now, when the movie was released in the UK, did they release it as Philoshoper's Stone or Sorcerer's Stone in the movies?
