However, I have some cool news (sort of) they auctioned off NINE Rivet costume pieces from Harrys Goblet of Fire costume and I was lucky enough to win one. These are numbered to 9 on the back, and they were auctioned off in three sets of three. Going to go take a picture and post it for you all to see. Great stuff Bryan - well done! Looking forward to seeing what other treasures you find

I just received the package with the 4-crystal card set I won on the 'bay. Impressive presentation! It's in a 12" x 8-3/4" album with the crystals inserted tightly into 1/2-inch "hard" foam. The outer album is black with gold lettering, in a heavy plastic ribbed slipcase.
I also won auctions for the padded binder, Lynch autograph, Quidditch Stand prop set of 3, Costume Prop set of 4, and Metal card set of 4. Almost like being there!
(Not only that, this week I picked off Hermione's Trousers C8 from GOF and Shopping List from TSS [variant with letters] this week, together with HBP's Ci4 and Maggie Smith auto.)

I keep raising my offering price for the MM1 auto but the asking prices keep rising faster. Maybe she'll be obtainable now that she's signed twice.

I have been keeping an eye on what prices the SDCC specials are going for.
P.O.T.T.E.R (auctioned as 1 lot of 6 cards)
'P' - $2499.99
EYELETS (auctioned as 3 lots of 3 cards)
1 - $1595.05 4 - $1500 6 - $1600 8 - $1999.99
POTTER STINKS (6 per day random in goodie bag as a redemption card - no extra cost)
2 - $760.01 3 - $610 6 - $650 9 - $625 14 - $600 17 - $590 19 - $1000 24 - $600 26 - $575 28 - $538.33 31 - $638.35 33 - $515 Apart from the eyelet cards of which I would have only kept 1 of the 3 (why would you want more?) the rest seem to be there for people to fund their trip. Why else would they get rid of such great cards?

If Artbox could give birth, it would be a redemption with the real one arriving 9 months later The Artbox website is so old, Indiana Jones has started looking for it Tutankhamun went on the Artbox website and saw it was out of date

Other than the letter T currently still on Ebay all of the Potter letters have found wonderful homes.
Also almost all of the eyelet cards have been sold to collectors as well.

All the cards would have gone to wonderful homes if collectors had got them instead of speculators and it would have been a lot easier on the pocket.

Well that is not really a possibility. Even if they had been put in the bags there is still a great chance that "speculators" would have gotten them, since "speculators" bought the bags just like everyone else. or if they were part of a release, then COLLECTORS would complain that a master set is a near impossibility, and "speculators" still open a ton of cases, so chances are they would have ended up with some as well. As it stands, all the cards but one left have gone to wonderful homes, and the good thing about the set is collectors can choose if they want them in their collection since they have no affiliation with any set, and NOT having them does not change what a master set it. If these were pack inserted into a release, the prices paid for them on Ebay so far would look like chump change because there are more than 6 Potter master set collectors out there, myself included, and things would have gotten really really ugly.

15 of the auction cards ended up as speculator cards. The P.O.T.T.E.R cards, I was told by the eventual winner of the auction the day before, would stay as a set. I thought he was bidding on behalf of someone as he was on the phone all the time. As you, Tom and others ended up with them, this was clearly a bare faced lie. I stood no chance but I guess, as you all watched the auction but didn't bid, you all knew that.

If these were pack inserted into a release, the prices paid for them on Ebay so far would look like chump change because there are more than 6 Potter master set collectors out there, myself included, and things would have gotten really really ugly. I dont think Graham was implying that cards be randomly assorted in goody bags or in boxes/cases. I think he was just noting that if speculators/flippers/what-have-you werent bidding on the auctions for profit, a lot of collectors would have left the con happy with a quite more affordable prop card set. Of course I know there is no way to monitor or regulate who gets the cards, as that would be unfair and discriminatory, and anyone should have the fair right to dish out money as they so desire, but its still easy on the mind to even dream that there would be a day where a collector has a chance at getting one of these auctioned cards directly from the supplier and not from the aftermarket at profit-hungy prices. And even if these cards were randomly assorted, it still gives a better chance at getting the card at much more affordable price, because with the way things are in the aftermarket, 99% of collectors, financially, have no chance whatsoever to own these cards anyway. Another suggestion for future sets (if they decide to do them again), would be to set a flat price and have a raffle to purchase. Its fair and gives a chance to the collector. Either way, I still love seeing the cards, I think its great that Artbox gives us the chance, and it no way discourages hope of one day owning something so great.

Congrats on winning that! I was lucky enough to win #11 at comic con. It will forever stay in my care. Has anyone seen the Cedric patch that they had at comic con? It was the patch of all 4 houses from Gof. It was cut into 4 pieces and sold apparently to one buyer. I saw one on ebay for a crazy ammount.

Maybe so, but if that is the case then lot of us here share his mad-streak It also had the Hufflepuff badger on which to me made it pretty special!

I never said that a crazy ammount was a bad thing. But I can't afford it at the moment - mega bummer for me. I would love to see what the other 3 pieces looked like.
