Ha ha! Well... double entendre's aside - it's fab! What's the state of supply at work Dawn? Might she manage to get one soon?

Awwwwww Dawn that sucks. I have been watching the ebay sales of the PS3 and boy have they dropped in price from a high of $3500.00 to many selling under $1,000.00 to as low as $750.00! ...but on the other hand the Wii is going strong at $400-450 ++ easy, when the RRP is $250 and don't forget that Ninty have shipped many many many more units than PS3s (or 360s this time last year). It's the same here. A Wii on ebay in the UK is between $550-580 ++, but it only just came out here, and it's a little more expensive to start with ($380 ish).

If we had any it would be £180ish but those desperate for them are willing to buy for big money. Personally I think they have brought them out far too close to Christmas, espically as Europe doesn't have nearly enough to go around

So did anyone else manage to get a Component lead for their Wii?
And does anyone else agree that there's not an awful lot of difference from the supplied composite cable?

We got one on the release date, so I haven't tried it without the component cable... Wow, Zelda is one HUGE game, it's so absorbing too, it's a good job that the DS Zelda is slightly delayed until the end of the year, I can't take too many life-absorbing games at once Dawn is there any chance of any Wii stocks coming into Argos stores soon? My bro would really like one.

Thanks Dawn, but he really wants a Wii, no, no luck yet. I think it's turned out very differently to how people expected. People thought the Wii would just be a gimmick, but whereas you could easily pick up a PS3 from the Shelves in America before Christmas, it's STILL proving difficult at the end of February to pick up a Wii in Japan, Europe or America (not sure about the Aussies, sorry, we don't hear ).

Well apart from the memory and stuff I can't see whats so exciting about the PS3 at least the Wii is a different kind of gaming.

Yeah it's very powerful, but it's all about the fun, and at the moment there's not one game that tempts me to buy a PS3. There's only one game that would tempt me to buy a PSP and it's been out ages We're getting near to the end of the Zelda game, we just defeated Zant and are off to Hyrule Castle (I know that may not mean much to many ) but it's a loooooooooooong game, I have no idea how Bryan managed to do it in around 3 weeks after the Wii release, he can't have had much else on It's a vast game with an amazing story. If you just bought a Wii and could only ever afford this one game I think you'd feel that the money was well spent.

Well I've given in and bought a wii, it is great fun. I may even get a wii fit when I have the room.
The PS3 vs Wii debate from a retail point of view the wii is selling way more. We did sell some PS3s but that was only when it was part of a deal when people bought a mobile phone.

Heh - well, I have now bought a PS3, but I have used it as a gaming device ummmm very rarely and as a Blu Ray player - ALL THE TIME.
I think you made the right choice - enjoy the wii!
