Ok, so I don't know if anyone here is into Dexter (TV show, on Showtime, for those who aren't aware of it).  But Its one of the best shows on TV, and were gonna try to get into the card set they made, it's not as well done as the Potter sets, so we won't be shooting for master sets or anything, but we'd like a few to get framed and put on the wall.  I had one question for anyone who collects or knows about them though.

The blood slide case incentive card is one we really really want, but we want to know if its an actual show used slide, or a replica.  I'm concerned because the pictures on eBay of them, all seem to have the same blood spot in them, if they were show used I would think they would be different.  Anyhow, if anyone knows anything about them, collects them, sells them, wants to trade/sell me some, let me know.  Thanks guys!

We were told the props were show-used when the set was solicited to us.

Now, there were I think 90 or so of the blood slide prop cards made, so there must have been many used in the filming for there to be that many available to make into trading cards.  And if they were making that many, I'd guess they would all be more or less the same.

As far as framing the blood slide prop, you do know it's much larger than standard trading card size and that it comes in a graded holder.  They came from Breygent graded, as did all the incentives.  Not the best for displaying if you ask me, but I've never liked graded cards much.

There are several very limited cards in the set, especially if you try to collect the San Diego special cards.  So good hunting if you decide to take this one on!

I was hoping someone would say they were sold as 'show-used', I still wish they were all a little more unique, but I understand why they wouldn't be.  I was bummed to find out they're all graded, but I tested out a trick with one of my graded sports cards to frame it, and i can do it without the whole case/grading case being seen.  I would hate to have to take the grading case off, rendering it worthless I imagine.  But I think I can display one without doing that.  As for collecting everything, I don't have any desire.  I know there's one card with Debora's shield patch from her Uniform, that was limited to 15 if I'm correct.  So Unless I got lucky in a box someday and hit a super rare card that would warrant me building a complete set around it, I probably wouldn't.  (And In that case, I'd probably sell said super rare card, and get a lot of other cards I'd rather have, haha.)

Ed, I had a specific question for you, or I guess anyone could answer it if they know.  I see the Dexter 'hot box' for sale now and again (I'm pretty sure you have one on your site Ed, is why I ask).  When it says '11 autos, and 1 sketch'.  Does that guarantee the entire set of autos, or could it include duplicates, and be missing others?  Also, are there chances at costumes/props/etc in those specific boxes?  While this would take the fun out of other box breaks and such, it certainly would make for a really fun one time break, even though you already know whats in it.  Probably save some money overall as well.  So were considering picking one up in the near future if our funds go well over the next little while.  Well thanks in advance for any help.

The Loaded Boxes should have all 11 autographs in them.  I was told they were hand packed and then randomly seeded into cases.

I have no idea if there is any chance at a prop or costume, but if they were hand pack I'm thinking probably not.  I've never seen a box breakdown on one, so I cannot be sure though.

Mine keeps calling me to open it, but I've resisted so far...

Thanks for the quick response Ed...after a lot of hunting, I did find a few box breaks of the 'loaded box' or 'hot box' or whatever it is called.  Only one of them 'thinks' he pulled anything extra, he thinks he pulled the crime scene tape prop.  But otherwise it seems to be just the 11 and 1.  That doesn't deter us though, so long as you don't break it open yourself, we may be making a big purchase a little ways down the line, haha.  Any news on whats included in the next set coming out?  I guess it got pushed back?  Im hoping they make it a little nicer, and at least a LITTLE more obtainable to get everything without selling your car to afford it, haha.  Thanks again!

As far as the next set goes I'm told Showtime is being more than slow on getting approvals processed, but that they want it done in time for San Diego Comic Con.

The autographs are all going to be autographed costume cards and there will be several new props.

I'm sure there will be some tough to find items though.  Breygent is not afraid to make ultra-rare cards.
