I am going to Los Angeles and Las Vegas next month on holiday and have been asked by a family member if i could buy some Harry Potter trading cards whilst im there.  Does anyone know of any stores/shops where i could buy them? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help

Thanks for your first post - sounds like a good holiday.

Though I'm based here in sunny south London it would probably help our LA peeps if you could tell them what you might be looking for - boxes of cards? New/old etc?

All the best,

I think you'll have a difficult time finding boxes or packs.  It's been too many months since the last HP release.  The only LA-area member I know gets her boxes shipped to her from a distributor, although I think she once told me there was some sort of small, non-sport show that ran on a monthly basis.  I'll see if I can find the info for you.

Hi welshbird77!

If i was going to buy cards in the U.S.I would be more likely to travel to a couple of states depending on what cards i was after! If you are after some rare props, auto`s or costume cards then you might want to check out the link in this forum stated by HPfamily (The time has come)

Firstly, thanks for you speedy replies folks.

Secondly i have spoken to my nephew, apparently he has only recently started collecting harry potter trading cards and he has the base sets, promo sets, box toppers, and chase cards for each set and a few costume, prop and autograph cards for the half blood prince sets.

Now wants to start collecting the autograph, film cell, costume and prop cards for each of the sets available. He told me he doesnt want specific cards as such but wants me to ave a look to see if anywhere in Los Angeles or Las Vegas would sell them individually or in hobby boxes. Then he has told me he is giving me a list of the ones he already has so i dont by the same ones, (bless him he is only 10 and has been saving his pocket money for me to take with me incase i find any).

Any help with where i might find any in either place would be amazing, cos i havent got a clue. Thanks in advance for your help everyone!

How far are you willing to drive?  There is a place about 25 miles east of LA that is like a small show (comics, trading cards, sports cards) that takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  There is one dealer there that sells non-sports boxes (like Harry Potter). I'm not sure about the prices as I haven't been there in a few weeks but if you would like more info, I would be happy to send it to ya.
