I have a question for those that got binders....Here is the original picture Artbox released: The material looks like Alligator skin, thick big scales. The binder I got has much smaller looking scales, more like a snake...but nothing like the one in this picture. Anyone else? I still like it, but am curious to know if there are any out there like the one in the picture or if the markings are smaller in everyone's. Thanks!

The advance pictures we get from Artbox are mock-ups (that's even included in the file name). The basic design should be the same, but there can be differences in the final product.

Tom has a hot box up for sale that includes everything but the incentives. I wonder if these were dealer incentives, or if there will be hidden ones in cases like Rittenhouse does.
Pretty much every single card has been listed now by a seller in New Jersey.

I doubt they were dealer incentives. I purchased a case of GOFU when it released and was lucky enough to get a hot box. The difference this time is that Artbox actually labeled the box. My guess is that they inserted them in to the cases just like they always have before....as I know they did this for several releases. I saw all the cards being listed by that seller. There are only a couple missing from his list. I think one prop (the picture frame) and one costume (Hermione), as well as the Karkaroff and Crouch dual. I want to also say that I know WB restricts Artbox to what they can actually use, but I am a little dissapointed with the amount of costumes that are material used to create....Dumbledore, Alecto Carrow, Tom Riddle, Shacklebolt, Bellatrix, Narcissa, Slytherin costume and maybe more. I know Fred and Cedric are screen worn material and the images on both those cards could be better. Again, I know this is also up to the WB. The Ci1 card is also screen worn. UPDATE: After reading the auctions listed on eBay, it seems all are "used to create" except the dual Sirius/Harry, Fred, Cedric and Hermione! Wow

I was wondering if some sellers were going to list cards today, on the assumption that since the auctions end after July 12, it's okay to put the cards on eBay.

Hot boxes were incentives for 15 case purchase.
That is pretty tough to believe since the 25 case incentive (actually all 4 incentives) sell for less than a hot box would.

copyed from a retail sight
In addition to the 2, 5, 10, and 25 case incentives that Artbox has already announced, it is now offering a free Hot Box to customers pre-ordering 15 cases! The Hot Box includes all prop, costume, and autograph cards (but excludes the case topper and case incentive cards). Click here to see additional details about the set.

Interesting. So they decided to NOT put them in the cases this time.
And I am wondering if Artbox can no longer get costumes for the movies since there were so many not screen worn. Is it possible the ones that were worn are either ones that got from the past that were not yet inserted in to a set....or ones used before in a past set? Like the Ci1 card is a new material, but maybe they got that back when they did the original COS set. Makes me nervous that for Deathly Hallows, we may see all "used to create" costumes.

With 300 cases, there should be 20 hot boxes. Artbox has never had so many with any release. I think it's more evidence that the print run was initially going to be higher and when they cut back, they were able to add the 15-case incentive.
I'm not too worried about the costumes for the DH releases. I think Artbox took whatever costumes/material it could to produce a filler set, some items coming from movies that were released nearly nine years ago. That said, it's true that the more recent releases have had more "material used to create" cards. WB is obviously holding aside costumes for things like the Harry Potter Exhibition. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of costumes and props end up on display at Universal Orlando.

It's becoming clear that there is really a 54 card base set with 18 clear cards that might as well be chase cards.
Sellers are going to have to get more for the 'complete' base set, or start selling 54 card sets.
I wouldn't mind so much if Artbox had just said it was a 54 card base set, an 18 card clear card set, and a 9 card rare set. With the prices of boxes these days, it's pretty much an expectation that you'll get a base set in a box.
But, the cards look nice. Artbox has never had much of a problem there.

It is definitely a 54 card base set...especially since the checklist is card number 54. I bought 4 boxes and only got one full set of the clear cards. Some people got less boxes and managed to get two sets of the clear cards. Makes me a little angry as with 4 boxes, I would have hoped to get two clear sets. I am missing 5 cards to make a second set. So yes, I think it is a 54 card base set and should be sold that way.

I like the looks of the autos in this set. The Ron card really brings out his eyes. I don't think I ever realized that his eyes were that color. lol

The set is beautifully done. I LOVE the clear cards and the autos look haunting--perfect for a heroes vs. villains set.
