I had a running email conversation with Kay at Artbox. It started with her email to me, number 1.
So here the run.

1.
Hi John,
Did you receive the shipment??
Kay

2.
Hi Kay,
I got the cases. Thanks.
Are the rumors about a second version with prop and costume cards true?
Hope you are doing well.
John

3.
Hi John,
Yes, we’re shooting for a release before Christmas.
Have a good day.

4.
Hi Kay,
Is this confidential or is it something that can be released?
John

5.
Absolutely you can let your friends know.
Thanks,
Kay

I sent her #4 because I didn't want to make her angry if I let a cat out of the bag.
Bottom line I guess, save your nickles and dimes for Christmas.

I suppose this can be taken as offical confirmation.
Has anyone else heard about this?

Well, while I was in line for goody bags at SDCC, there was mention by Artbox people at the booth that they were aiming for November. Maybe they pushed it back a little? Has there been an official date for the DVD release yet?

I heard November 11 for the DVD release.  Great news about the props and costumes!

Depends...

IF their license really runs out December 31st, they could still push something out.

More likely is that they still have the license and there is no rush to get it out at this point.  Late December and January are about the same, nobody has spare money since they just spent on Christmas.

And since they print overseas, this time of year the ports are busy as well as shipping is slow.  Might not have made it in time.

Some sort of official word would be nice though.  But we all know how well Artbox communicates.

I sent Kay an email a day or two ago. I got an automatic reply stating that she out of the
office on a medical leave of absence.

No details of how long or details of the nature of her medical condition.

Hope and pray that she is well... perhaps it's a happy time... maternity perhaps???

If Artbox could give birth, it would be a redemption with the real one arriving 9 months later
The Artbox website is so old, Indiana Jones has started looking for it
Tutankhamun went on the Artbox website and saw it was out of date
