We are 30 minutes away from the start of the Ryder Cup. I've taken the day off work, the beers are in the fridge, the nibbles in the cupboard and the excitement is about to begin.

So what happens ?

I get a knock on my door. Hello Mr Postman, what have you got for me today ?

Only the Star Wars trilogy DVD set !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's arrived 3 days early and now I can only sit here looking at the box, unable to watch until at least 10pm tonight because of the golf.

Bloomin' typical.

Still, at least I'll be able to take advantage of this re-mastering with my recently purchased home cinema system. Reports to follow.

Well I suppose it's no good asking you to come up to Cambridge tomorrow to help me move house then Wink

Well it has to be the Ryder cup today and the SW over the weekend - obviously sideshow will be around later with your custom built Trilogy Saturday film frame.

Can I ask who you bought from? I like getting DVDs early Wink

Your are truly not going to believe this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember, this is the most eagerly awaited DVD release of all time, over 25 years in the making.

I thought I should at least hear the da da da daaaaa daaaaa, da da da daaaaa daaaaa... at a decent volume before a) the golf starts and b) the neighbours break down my door, so I insert Star Wars IV : A New Hope into the DVD and..........

Da da da daaaa daaaa, da da da daaaa daaaa up comes the menu for........

Star Wars VI : Return Of The Jedi

WTF !!!!!!!!!!

The box says ANH, the disc itself says ANH, the bloody disc is playing ROTJ. So I check all 3 discs and the others 2 are fine, correctly playing ROTJ & ESB.

Apparently the distributor has had a few irate phone calls this morning. I'm not bloomin' surprised ! Now I have to wait until (the proper day) Monday to see the 1st film.

Are you reading this Mr George Lucas, someone somewhere has screwed up big-time & I thinK i deserve at least a free master set of the upcoming Heritage trading cards from Topps in compensation.

Yeow CJD!!  I would be upset as well.  The Trilogy set comes out today here in the States and I hope someone caught the fact that A New Hope was not in the set!!  I am picking my set up on Friday and will check it out to see if all 3 movies are in there!!

Let us know how you make out here.
