I have to say mine is PoA followed closely by OotP. I know alot of fans were disappointed with it, but the main reason was that it was alot darker than the previous 4. Well what do you expect, the boy is growing up and has to deal with more ie. Voldemort... I mean, You-Know-Who. Not to mention those raging teenage hormones When does PoA get released for you guys in the UK and elsewhere? Its June 10 here in Oz

PoA is my fav book First off it's where Harry is really starting to grow up. The plot is clever with the twist at the end; oooh I haven't read it in too long, I shall get on it this weekend. I love Lupin and all the beasts he introduces Harry and the gang to, and I think the addtion of Sirius to Harry's family is most welcome! UK previews start on the 31st of May, but I'll be on a train that evening so I am going with a gang of pals on the 1st of June (the Tuesday).

So unfair, you Brits get it 9 days earlier. Yes I know JK is British... but meh. Yes, they are the reasons I love PoA as well, I also like the fact he gets a Firebolt - nothing but the best for Harry The plot twist was brilliantly done, I did not expect it at all. I also loved the Quidditch final.

I read them first but I love the Steven Fry ones, he's great! I saw the films before hearing the tapes but I am sure they stole all his inflections for the films - especially Coltrane! I don't have the OOTP tapes/CDs yet tho

well I checked it against the Uk boox and it said "and ron exclaimed loudly" so I assume that in the USA it means something quite different
at least I hope it does or the sensors will get really upset when The Order of the Pheonix comes out

i still don't understand why they changed 'Philosopher' to 'Sorcerer' for the American edition. Surely our American friends know what a philosoper is? I can understand all the slang changing, but the title change to me is just silly As for the slang, I read lots of American based and British based books and found that while at first not understanding the more 'unusual' slang of either, ended up appreciating both types a lot more. My 2 cents

did it seriously say that he ejaculated loudly or is this a joke?? Lol I don't know, they seem pretty serious... would be damn funny if it was! My fav is Poa, I love it! It's more clever than the predessors (spl?!) and my I love Lupin and Sirius! They're such great characters, and the boggart chapter I think is one of the best.

ya PoA is my fav book aswell and they did the boggart chapter in the film really well i thought,i dont actuallk think that the word philosopher in in American english at all so thats why they changed it.but am i wrong in thinking that in english english aren't sorcerers and philosophers different things........ aren't you technically a philosopher if you get a masters in it,if so i know a few,lol

I think my favourite book is GoF as well, it's action packed! But closely followed by PoA.
